Alright great video guys, now keep this up. At least 10 minute videos recapping each part of the rally is a MUST for this season, if we want to grow our sport we need to do better, as much as I like Red Bull Rally and Dirtfish, its just not acceptable to have third party media produce better content than the official channel
@@MarkoSegovic they should just copy F1 tbh, dont particularly like the current state of F1, but their social media is really good, their YT videos, summarizes the weekend very well, its easier said than done, but the standard is set, now other sports just need to follow the lead. Cus honestly, F1 only is the biggest motorsport in the world because its where the big bucks always went so through its 70+ years, it got more marketing and all than any other series, also because people are alianated nowadays towards other forms of racing, they just want that 90min piece of nothing with an ocasional DRS overtake and thats it. If motorsports were famous based on how good the racing and overall entertainement value is, F1 would be nothing and the WRC, Indycar, MotoGP, WEC, IMSA, those would be the most famous sports
@@bernardoberner4f1 has way more pay per view subscribers, the fees they charge the tracks, their cut of grandstand tickets, the race entry fees etc etc, to fund paying a TH-cam editor/social media content creation team.
We really need to do better here I can go out with 5 guys with iPhones and make more comprehensive highlights than the last few years daily highlights It’s honestly embarrassing You can’t make money if you don’t get more eyes on your product need to up the effort! I’ll gladly help just let me know and I’ll dice up the daily feed into decent highlights. Not that hard
@@kbdiesel I hope you realise it's not as simple as highlights cutting up the television broadcast. there are rights issues and rules, hence why highlights are always the same length - same with f1, formula e etc etc. they probably had these broadcast deals and rules set up before they started doing highlights properly in 2022. I know you want 20 minute highlights, but a lot of newer viewers do not - there is a median they need to hit, and I belive they have done a good job at that. they are doing a much better job than they were a few years ago and it will never be a quick progress, look at f1, took them 4 or 5 years to put decent videos out when they started in 2014/2015
I still remember how incredibly close Monte Carlo 2019 was over the whole Weekend, and 2020 felt a bit like a continuation from that, but with Neuville finally winning.
This is exactly how you should preserve the classic footage, excellent quality with the old material.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Completely agree, this sport needs good marketing to grow and come back to a place where it belongs as the best motorsport in the world

Another mention goes to Tommi Mäkkinen, who won the 1994 Rally Finland replacing François Delecour at Ford, it was his first WRC victory
Great shout!
Amazing! Keep this content going, so that more and more people get involved with the WRC and become fans.
1:15 that is sainzs first win since he returned to Toyota the team who took him two both titles between 1990 and 1992
Great video! If I remember good also Mikael Ericsson won in a Mitsubishi the 1989 Rally Finland (he drove for Lancia before)
Walter röhrl did this 3 times in 82,83,84 winning first time out with opel, lancia, and Audi. I’m surprised he didn’t make the list
And won Monte Carlo with 4 different cars
These list videos are great for us newbies just getting into the sport
Really good content this WRC, keep it up!

Loeb is just crazy driver win at 47 (and doing backflip after) 9 wdc pushing puma to victory absolute goat
Walter Rohrl won on debut with Rothmans Opel, Martini Lancia and Audi Sport three years in a row
So we’re calling it for Tanak already?
dis will fun year see you latvia soon
the irony of Loeb driving for Ford damn & without Elena
Loeb the Best. Sainz legend. Ogier crack.
Seb Loeb 😊
1:33 ...and then we all know what happened.
Wow I never heard some rally drivers can switch and won.
Neuville who went to Hyundai from Ford in 2014 also. Tanak to Toyota in 2018 as well
Neither of them won on the debut.
@milanbogar9937 ah it was debut ok
It should be about titles with different manufacturers.. Only some achieve that!!
McRae don’t do that?
McRae never won in Montecarlo. The first victory with the focus was at Kenya 1999, and with citroen, he struggled.
Mäkinen was not the true winner in Monte Carlo 2002
He is, otherwise Loeb would have an unfair advantage
