It's basically a fusion of Dark Souls combat, DMC movelist complexity, and Path of Exile grinding/mapping, and a fusion of all three's build system as well. Dark Souls 1 and 2 aren't hard at all, though. Dark Souls 3 is "hard" because every single enemy has roll-catching delayed combos because the devs finally realized a niche that could catch mid-high level players off guard more than once.

Ahh yes, Kuze's theme.
Quite possibly the best video ever to be created for this game.
More of this pls nioh 2 is my absolute favorite game. And this memes are amazing. Pls more boi
Mine too
I fucking love your content my dude. I also felt everything in this video on a spiritual level lmfao! Another banger
@@Chilledtiger oh don't worry. We'll be watchin when you get Rise. Lol
I snuck around and came back when I was stronger. Mopped the floor with him. Game may be repetitive, but it's funner than hell.
when you get ranged weapons: "peace was never an option"
Once u get used to enemies changing direction mid attack, it becomes less maddening. Takes quite a bit of time to get used to all the different enemies attacks but once u do it's fucking amazing.
amazing and hilarious content as usual! love the anime and other references (the dark soul music got me giggling)
Every dead it's a tequila shot.
LET'S GOOOOOOOO!
I beat nioh 1 multiple times, thought it was great, bit hard at first but after about 6 hours it started to click (never played souls before)
I couldn’t get past level 3 of nioh 2. I deadass just gave up.
>Skips tutorials on counter bursting
>Ignores message saying not all enemies are mandatory
The tracking in enemy attacks is insane in this game honestly
Oh god the way enemies can turn mid swing always annoyed tf outta mr
The tracking is out of hand in this game, you try to dodge an enemy swing attack and that a*hole will turn/follow you and hit you lol.
When fighting Yokai you need to target their ki bar first. When Yokai are out of ki you can stagger and combo them to death.
@@mark-o-man6603 not really cause them mothafukkas will refill their Ki bar in the middle of your combo LOL. Like I'll be doing a combo and a damn Yoki will do that move where they fill their Ki bar up. I've already learned all their moves though so I'm killing them left and right easily, the only ahole I still have a little hard time with is the azzhole Kusarigama Yoki, that guy is supper annoying.
You probably all know this and kill Gozuki the honorful way, but you can just throw axes at him from a ledge nearby
The sheer amount of mileage people get out of Gozuki when making videos on N2 is quite funny, especially considering that you eath them for breakfast after a couple dozen hours in
I need to play this again. Great game.
Nioh 2 is the one game where I felt no matter how good I was I still was getting my ass whooped, eventually I just went for an easy mode Onmyo build and beat the game.
No matter how good your equipment are. They still 1 shot you in late game
I died to that damned horse thing 20 times before I gave up and ran around
i consider myself actually some what decent at souls like games but nioh 2 has slapped my cheeks harder than any souls like i've ever played. Still fun as hell and definitly one of the most underrated games of 2020.
@Master Oak lol this argument is ridiculous... so you’re saying that less mechanics is better? The depth of combat that TN has achieved with Nioh 2 is incredible and is by far the games biggest strength. It’s that depth and complexity that allows ppl to put thousands of hours in this game without it ever getting old, and that gives players the ability to constantly try new things. It honestly makes Dark Souls seem overly simple in terms of its combat mechanics at least.
@Master Oak sorry, maybe I misunderstood your comment. My bad if so
@Master Oak I think you just described why I don't like Nioh lol, managing all the mechanics felt like chores and just sucked the fun out for me.
The scroll has given him power!
I spent 1 hours on that first horse... And I can not even remember his name... No, I don't want to remember...
His name is Rapehorse as you should well know.
Oh wait that's Berserk.
GOZUKI !!!!
Fear me 😂
This is hilarious dude , trying nioh 2 tomorrow and can’t wait, this video got me more hype.
1st enemy u met: an African kid, easy piecy
2nd enemy u met: low budget Ludwig, here to ruined your day
11/10 best map design
"this attack is Useless"
until you meet both of them in the side mission
Looking forward to 79 more videos
and that's why i like team ninja games, bosses that make you depressed and make you cry for days
Gozuki and his damn tracking lol. I was so happy I killed him finally lol
Best advice I can give is build as much Ki recovery as possible dump all those points into courage it’ll help significantly in the long run plus you can always respec your build using a book of reincarnation once you build up enough Amrita for whatever build you’re tryin to do
I've read enough Berserk to know where this is going..
all the bosses are apostles of Griffith
Ludwig if he liked yellow instead of blue
Im currently Playing Nioh 1. as Souls series veteran, Nioh is Hard:v
Oh just you wait. It gets harder lol
Enjoy, it is defo hard but remember your build is what gives you power, then edit the bonuses on your armour for luck, transfer attack bonuses from gloves to other armour
@@ryanwatterson4038 for Experience in Souls like games, the first playthrough is gonna be Test any build so for now armor skill is kinda bit useless for me cause im more into Fashion Souls:v.Also Heavy armor that i find more useable skill is not my type
@@Zacharie27 you can refashion armour to make it look like other armour so u get the type you want and the look you want :)
But yes nice man, you are right to test stuff out first playthrough :)
Nioh has 5x difficulties with the dlc so plenty to find your optimal
All the best
@@Zacharie27 coop is amazing in nioh BTW too, the system of playing coop can seem a little complicated, it is tbh
There's a few different ways to play together or with randoms etc via Torii gate, if trying to coop with friend make sure you both use the same menu option, if any bother with it post here
This was my first soul's like game. My controller has drift but I fell in love with it
0:27 ...Yep, he's dead alright. Moving on.
Cant wait until you meet Viper Sanctum's Snake boss. This boss is kinda an entrance exam to Nioh 2,basicly you must know all the basic combat mechanic to defeat it.
It's another Souls Veteran™ doesn't understand the block button episode.
*laughs in stance based roll effectiveness*
It's 2 different universes, one protagonist have glass arms and the other titanium ones
Enemy: Doing absolutely nothing and just walking around.
Me who loves fighting everything I meet: *"I have been called, I must answer."*
This game is harder than Dark souls xD
Nioh 2 is complex than Dark Souls in every single way.
It`s hard to get into. But each boss I fought was easier that a previous one, maybe because I started to pay attention to my gear. Also new enemies are added to the game slowly and the mobs you already fought hundreds of times pose a little threat.
It can be harder because its way faster but its easy when you learn how to adapt
Nioh is my favourite, it is my forever game, my desert island game, my dream game come true. Its a totally zen experience for me i just lose hours of my meek existence on this planet and i dont even realise or care. Its endlessly satisfying and gratifying unlike any other game ive played.
Ah. The nioh experience. 😋
Also "why did you google this"
You madlad actually googled it? HOW
@@Chilledtiger didnt google it. i can read japanese (still learning tho). 😂
@@Chilledtiger I love that you have to know your fanbase is just weebs and it never occurred to you that one of those weebs might speak Japanese xD
@@sexypanda1349 😅😂
So no one is gonna talk about how Yakuza 0 music makes the boss fight feel much more badass?
Yeah, this game is aesthetic af and honestly once you understand the combat, it’s sick. I love the brute counter, at first I didn’t understand how it worked and thought it was dumb. No. It’s not a counter, it’s a b**** slap to stop enemies from using their most powerful move 😂😂.
so this is how people who use the sword play nioh, couldn't be me
Why do so many new Nioh players sleep on yokai abilities
same with any other game, "Oh I'm gonna play this game like I want to and not like the game wants me to so I make it unnecessarily difficult for myself and then say it's the hardest game of all time."
I love when I see youtubers saying ut us too hard or it isn't fun like dark souls
But they don't use the recovery stamina mechanic, which is essential to be able to attack and inmediatly defend
I love you
i feel dirty
Love the choice of boss music you had for that 2nd horse boss fight 😎👍😂
Dark souls didnt teach you how to dodge huh
At least 'that well'
This was my first souls like game. What a a start ay
Enemra in the end just asserting dominance like a chad
Play through until u get to Dream of the Nioh when Mr Horse is on speed and u can relive the hair pulling frustration all over again
I've got probably 300 hours in the nioh series, and I still get hit by Mezuki slams.
Midway through this game, I wanted to give up but I saw this video and now I’m off to play again.
I dropped my sign at the entrance to this fight! I’ve been raking in the glory 🥹
Never give up and never surrender until you fight him perfectly.
I have spent 4k hours on mordhau and 7k on chiv this will be a walk in the park for me
Katana and Odachi. Solid starter weapons, fun vid my dude. If you decide to stick with Nioh 2, you're in for a fun ride.
Gozuki shows you what kind of person someone is when they first see him
I just skipped the Gozuki on my first playthrough, on NG+ though, I showed him who is the boss. The Enenra coming at you was so hilarious and I always hated that about him.
Jesus Christ that horse is crazy
He is not horsing around
@@Chilledtiger why you do this to me
Tbh after a few times I entered a mission where there were 2 little minions and a stronger horse and the little minions killed me more than the horse.
