    @cammarkgross I agree. You need to get a life. Nothing and no one was harmed in this video and a good laugh only hurt you. We loved it. I'm sure that girl was fine after she got use to the britchin lol.

    Any mule that bucks to metallica is officially the coolest mule ever

    The guy is tapping the mule with the spurs or waving his legs to tell the mule to go forward, he's really not over doing it, kicking or jabbing with the spurs. And to be honest it looks more like the strap around his butt is bugging him more than the spurs by the "style" of kicking it's doing. If it was the spurs, I would think he would do a more bronc-y kick, head down, arching the back, something more like that. The mule is literally keeping its head normal, front feet practically in place and kicking straight out. The guy stops tapping with the spurs when the mule does what he wants, to go forward. When the mule stops, slows down or starts kicking he taps with the spurs again. Pressure stops when the mule does the right thing. Making the wrong thing hard and the right thing easy. At the beginning of the video there was hardly any forward motion, toward the end there was more forward motion and less ear pinning too. He's not abusing this mule, maybe more cowboy style to some of you but not even that. Y'all need to stop hugging so many trees and get over yourselves.

      @kimrhind3263 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      JadeAndSebring Only problem with that is that the guy stops asking for forward as soon as the mule starts kicking. Which is rewarding the undesirable behaviour.

    • @JadeAndSebring
      @JadeAndSebring 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maybe you're seeing differently than I am. Most of the time it looks like he's still asking for forward while the mule is kicking. But my main point was the fact that he's not abusing the mule like some are saying.

      JadeAndSebring I hope that you would not send a good horse to be trained by him. He could really mess a good animal up.

    When did the mule buck? All I seen was it kicking out. Try tapping her with the end of your rein, and she will move on and quit that. She was kicking because of you touching her with your spurs. She will quit that nonsense in time. Nice big mule though.

    Wow, you are an awesome rider! To stay in the saddle after being bucked that many times, and you made it look so effortlessly (smooth). I have one that didn't care for the britchen either and used two very large nylon dog collars, a fleece cinch (to go around his rump under the tail), and fleece lined breast collar (for part that connects to the back of saddle and over his rump) to make a softer more durable britchin and he seemed to like it much better than the leather.

    I hope this is his mule. I would be really bad to find out that someone was paid this guy to ride their mule. It is funny to watch in the beginning, but I see that he is not doing anything to stop this, only to keep it going. It appears to me that the mule is trying to get rid of something irritating, and I think it is the strap across the back of his legs or rump or he needs to check his equipment. Maybe something we cannot see. But the mule seems to be in some form of discomfort. Ugh!

    Idk where the other people are seeing wrong things
    You don't pull on the mules mouth once
    When I saw the britchen ride up it was immediately corrected in the next frame
    You're not wearing spurs
    The only thing I saw wrong was the dog that needed better training to stay out of the round pen since the poor thing could get kicked 🤣

    How is the dog NOT in danger? You should NEVER allow a dog into an area when an equine is acting up! One kick is all it would have taken to kill the dog. And why not try ground work with the britching first? And I agree with the poster who said "try something different!" If a horse/mule bucks, turn them in a tight circle! All you did was ride around the round pen, over and over. Almost as if you WANTED her to buck. Not wise riding or horsemanship.

    This is the second time I have watched the video. NOT ONCE did I see the rider yank or strike the mule hell he is not even wearing spurs. More important the mule is eight years old and just now being ridden? A good mule is even tempered and gentle not once to I see the mule do anything to hurt the rider and all she is trying to say is "straps on my ass is annoying me." For those who think this is animal abuse go get educated on what abuse really is. Oh, love the music selection so fitting.

      @AnimalLeftist 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not really. Guy never really went out of a walk, those bucks are really easy to sit. This "guy" wasn't brave enough to get out of the round pen. I just wonder if he was scared the mule would go faster than a walk. Why the hind harness, as well? No sense in this whole waste of time.

    Then she'd win. I hope you do not train horses, because you should know what is bothering your horse (or in this case a mule) and stay on if its equipment and get off if its injury. And this is MOST DEFINATLEY NOT horse abuse or cruelty. :)

    For those following this video: try watching it with the sound muted.
    Never owned or even been near a mule nor do I know the guy in the video. I've read that a mules intelligence is often confused as stubbornness. After reading the previous posts I watched this video numerous times.
    The mules seems to be kicking in the video because: minor spurring, spurs resting on the mules sides, mule isn't used to the crupper, back cinch may be is a bit tight, mule trying to get rid of turd(s) stuck between the crupper and its butt :), tail hair getting caught in the crupper or kicking to get rid of intestinal discomfort/pain due to a blockage if mules suffer from this like horses do. Horses kick out both legs , roll and wiggle to try and get rid of the problem.

    This is not good equitation, hitting the horse repeatedly in the side with spurs for no reason other then to make it buck is abusive and will cause behavioral issues in the long run. just because you put Metalica over the video and put it on you tube and you get a few views and clicks doesn't make it okay nor right and brakeing/bucking out horses is not training them it only associates humans and riding as being a bad experience and you should stride for better and more effective training methods and i can tell you right now that none of them involve spiked spurs and bucking. and if you ask what benefits it has to you it means you can up the price on your mules because you would spend more time and effort on them instead of just half assed training them like this so please treat your animals right and be a good equine trainer

Most likely when a mule is started there going2buck if new equipment is put on they may buck, they stated they put on her for first time it was put on correctly not hurting the mule she was just not sure of it.She will get use to it&be fine it was something new2her dont say stuff like saying they were abusing the mule &u would be teaching the mule to buck if you got off of it because it buck.

    You know, you'd think that after awhile, you'd actually figure out that what you're doing is pointless and get off before you get in a wreck.

    • @WachdByBigBrother
      @WachdByBigBrother 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      First of all, you didn't read the blogs. The mule didn't like the britching. Personally I would have lunged the mule with it first. No matter. It's not pointless. Either way, the mule will get used to the britching and that will be that.
      Also, if you dismount while the mule is in that frame of mind, what will you have taught the mule? No different than giving in to a child you need to be clear with.
      You clearly have not dealt with either horses or mules so please refrain from knee jerk blogs or acting like life should be perfect.

    • @BarrelsPolesandJack
      @BarrelsPolesandJack 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      WachdByBigBrother "Have not dealt with horses or mules…"
      Seriously? I guess you haven't taken a look at MY channel. If a horse or mule is acting up, the last thing I'd want to do is to stay on its back just to "buck it out." That is an AGE-OLD method that deserves to be buried and forgotten where it came from: IN THE PAST. Horse training (and mule training) all starts ON THE GROUND. If you can't do something on the ground, you sure as heck won't be able to do something under saddle. Clearly, YOU don't know what you're doing, so how about you actually look up some basic training methods before you get yourself hurt?
      And FYI: my previous comment suggests NOTHING about life being perfect. It's called COMMON SENSE.

    • @WachdByBigBrother
      @WachdByBigBrother 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      *****
      Your insults are a wind that goes past me. You are a hyper critical person, in my opinion that thinks everything is to be done your way. That you must make someone else wrong in order to feel OK and right about "The Way" you do it. I've seen this over and over in the the blogs of horse videos and I'm fed up with that type of attitude, including yours in that regard.
      I would have done ground work too. I don't go around making everyone wrong if they don't. You do. Any comment you make after this will only be to preserve your ego and anyone that is following this conversation will see that you are. That ego will also blind you to adding to your training repertoire. Acting like there is only one way to do things is plain arrogant.

    • @BarrelsPolesandJack
      @BarrelsPolesandJack 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      WachdByBigBrother And acting like an idiot when working with an animal that's roughly ten times your weight is just plain IGNORANT. If you KNOW what to do but don't do it, what kind of trainer or horseman/-woman does that make you? Getting your panties in a wad over someone else trying to make you SEE a better way for the sake of the animal doesn't do anything but make you look like a whiny brat. And no, I don't believe "my way" is right. However, with that said, I do believe that there are certain ways to do things…and ways NOT to do them. What you're doing in this video is NOT the proper way to handle this animal.
