I did not know about calibration for the blades. No wonder my last fabric cut was a little funny! I knew it is needed for print then cut, but chose to do it “later” when setting up my machine. So looked for a video on this subject by MGL. I just don’t enjoy the constant “adverts” for your subscriptions, but your explanations and teachings are terrific! Gotta go calibrate now.😊🤓

@@MakersGonnaLearn Thank you for the reply. I know you need to do the adverts... and I like that you are “low key” about them (others are annoying!).
FYI, I just now calibrated my Maker for print/cut. It took three times running through (I am in Scotland and we use A4 paper, not 8-1/2 x 11), but it worked!!! Thanks to Becca for such a clear explanation! If I hadn’t found this video I would have checked your website (I am a subscriber). Have you had any luck with Cricut customer support? I've honestly lost count how many times I've tried calibrating and it still doesn't work. I'm worried that customer support won't be able to help.

Alana Lipham cricut support didn’t help with anything because since it was only 1/8 of an inch 😭 but try turning bleed off and turn off your lights!! That worked well for me!! My room is just too bright for the sensor to work!

Crazy Aten thank you for letting me know! Unfortunately, I’ve tried both of those things and it still hasn’t worked. Recalibrating it so many times has actually made it 10x worse and it’s now cutting my designs in half.

I really needed this video, but there was waaaay too much talking before just getting to the directions. Literally, had to skip through a lot of unnecessary talking just to get to what I needed.

Omg. Just show how to calibrate your machine.

What is wrong with “homemade“? Not everyone wants to sell their crafts. With Provocraft’s record of problem machines, I would not touch it with a ten foot pole.

Thanks so much for watching! We LOVE homemade projects! That's actually what we're all about. However, just because a project IS homemade, doesn't mean it can't look professional! Wouldn't you want your projects for personal use or that you intend to gift to a friend to look the best it possibly can? A proper calibration is sometimes the key to a perfectly executed homemade project, and we wanted to make sure our viewers were equipped with the knowledge needed to calibrate their machine if desired. :)
