  • What an unique rubber! Transformer Extra Slow is a powerful anti rubber that creates very short blocks close to the table!
    It also provides devastating spin reversal and very aggressive attack against backspin as well! The only one disadvantage for this rubber is blocking timing. Blocking loop or topspin right off the bounce has the highest success rate. If you do it too late, the ball will just slip away from the rubber. Therefore, it might not be as forgiving as ABS2, but the effective blocking close to the table is definitely worth it for an experienced anti player who seeks the most dangerous weapon.

    Michael, is it easy to receive powerfull side spin serve from opponent with this rubber? Just block it, no need to think about blade angle, right?

    • @LittleMT1982
      @LittleMT1982  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Anton Praja yes the angle is not hard to find. But if the service is not powerful enough, you might need to do a bit of pushing, and that’s the harder part to do.

    Hi Micheal, I have a big question... If the opponent give a SLOW side spin serve (the 2nd bounce is still on the table) how do you handle it with anti spin rubber (let say with Transformer extra slow) ? Better push it or chopblock or give a side swipe push, or what, based on your experienced ? thx

    • @LittleMT1982
      @LittleMT1982  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Anton Praja as long as it is sidespin, you can still make short block right off the bounce. But if your opponent has obvious offensive weakness, you may try push a bit more.

    Michael, does this anti have any little grip? Can you lift the ball coming towards you with a back spin from your backhand?

    • @LittleMT1982
      @LittleMT1982  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haluk Karamete No it is frictionless rubber. But yes lifting backspin is definitely one of it’s main attacking tools.

      @@LittleMT1982 Hi Michael, how does it lift backspin if there is no grip? Do you go under and push the ball up and forward? isn't it like almost hitting it with barebone blade?

    • @mariomax55
      @mariomax55 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@WeeklyFreshTableTennis I've a similar rubber: you can hit the backspin ball with the same movement you perform for a (light )topspin. This helps the ball to maintain almost the same rotation (that is a backspin for you and a topspin for your opponent). You can see this shot at 0:57

    Hi Michael, wich rubber do you think is more dangerous, Transformer Extra Slow, ABS2 or Reflection?, Nice videos, Thanks.

    • @LittleMT1982
      @LittleMT1982  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Jorge Guitron personally, I think both ABS2 and Reflection are the best so far. Because spin reversal is still the main factor to determine whether a rubber is reliable in pro level games or not. Although Transformer Extra Slow is indeed good at making short blocks, but it needs a bit more spin reversal to survive in pro level games.

    Michael, I read your comment about this trouble blade on www.tabletennis11.com & now thinking to buy this blade... Can you rate about the flexibility/stiffness (from 1-10) ? thx

    • @LittleMT1982
      @LittleMT1982  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Anton Praja I would give an 8 for flexibility and 6 for stiffness. It is a blade that you feel a bit stiff yet with very good control and offensive potential.
