If anyone is like me and playing this however many years later - TANKS TANKS TANKS. I’m playing on normal and this strategy didn’t work for me, but what did is prioritizing getting tanks unlocked and placing a few, along with a nightingale, at the east and west barricades. Also, get every single resource you can from the map. There are power and supply turrets near the main base and 2 of the offshoots - all of those give you extra resources you’ll need at the start. Once I figured out the tank strategy this was honestly not a hard level
This guide is absolutely fantastic it’s a little hairy at the beginning but once you get it set up and follow up this suggested strategy things are quite easy by the end excellent walk-through video!

I think it's best to put hornets and night gales on the top right "flank area" only units that come are locust ghosts wraiths Maruarder and jumpack all of which can be wiped out by hornets
How did you get the light bridge bonus objective? When I played this mission, it would not allow me to activate the light bridge nor the garrison nearby with the marine unit.
In order to be able to activate it, you have to allow the enemy jump brutes to kill the garrisoned marines, and then they have to turn the Lightbridge on. You then have to clear the brutes out and are allowed to turn the bridge back off. There will be a few opportunities throughout the level where the brutes will spawn and try to take it, however I found it best to not build anything in the middle portion at the very beginning, and then time the bridge activation once to get the 10 kills. If you wait until later in the level, the brutes may jump up there, but will target your turrets and defenses before hitting the bridge, and likely die if your playing on a lower difficulty setting. Check the video out at 6:23 and I talk through it a little more there. Hope this helps.
Hey, nice video, It was helpful for me, I was looking for an easy way to get a Gold medal on this mission, and I read that it doesn't matter the difficulty with the final score, so in the other missions I played in easy with a skull to get gold medals...
It literally doesn’t tell you that bonus unless you actually lose that bridge control area which I haven’t on any of my try’s even on legendary so I have been trying to figure out and ended up having to look up these video just to found out what the bonus is cause it says undiscovered for me. Marty- Thanks for checking out the video and glad it was helpful! This and Under the Dark are pains, hard to say which one I would want to have to complete again on Legendary! I think this mission does have the toughest to complete Bonus objectives, especially with it being so dependent on the enemy AI and almost luck it seems. Thanks for checking the channel out!

I don't understand how to get hold on this map... I've completed every other mission with gold medals, beat the game and every bonus objective on legendary but can't get gold on this... I even did a run through with the sickness skull on, and completed all objectives and still got silver
Matt- Sorry your having trouble. Since there is no Time bonus for this mission, it boils down to combat effectiveness and completing all the OBJ's in a single playthrough. Combat bonus obviously being the biggest, and while I'm not 100 percent certain how it is calculated, I do believe it focuses heavily on units created to units lost, as well as destroyed. This was one of the most frustrating for me because of the challenges / OBJs, so hopefully that helps. Also really recommend running it on the easiest difficulty. Hope that helps!
tbh it's almost getting to the point that I might just have to put all the hard skulls on. the mission its self is simple it's just that it's a full 30 mins of watching my hornets gun down everything

I beat it on legendary twice once coop once solo then on easy twice solo then looked up this video cause of anger

Lotus mines can be detected by a few units like elites reavers engineers and I think marauders

update: so I beat it on easy with all the hard skulls (sickness, nightmare and pestilence) and got 99k score getting my gold medal and achievement!
