How should I treat the flu when pregnant?

  • If you are pregnant and start to have flu like symptoms it's best to call your OB provider and talk to them about the things you're experiencing. If they truly feel like you have the flu they may decide that treatment is necessary. There have been studies done that show both mothers and babies, unborn babies, can have complications that result from a woman having the flu while she is pregnant. In order to reduce these risks your doctor may decide to treat you. Obviously we want to help with your symptoms too and control your fever so the doctor can recommend over the counter treatments, medications, that are safe to take during pregnancy that will alleviate your symptoms. I hope you start feeling better soon and good luck with everything.     My doctor only recommended acetaminophen. And I continue to have fever and now a cough started. I'm 10 weeks pregnant. I'm scared for the baby

      Same here 20 weeks just got over the flu only could take Tylenol

    I'm 7 weeks pregnant and my obgyn nurse wouldn't let me come in to see my obgyn she referred me to local hs...well the local hs was for critical only....they didn't have anything no equipment to check baby heart beat or sonogram......I've had the flu for a week n I've spotted 3diff days....I feel like I'm dying almost I can't even keep crackers or water down what to do?????
