Nathan Fillion made his own Uncharted fan film three years ago and everyone loved it. HE was the perfect fit for the role of Nathan Drake. I believe he made it in an attempt to get movie executives to cast him. I just can't see Tom Holland in this role. OR Mark Wahlberg either. I don't know if I'm gonna see this. I'll wait for streaming.
Bruce Campbell is the perfect Sully. When they didn't cast him, I knew I was going to pass on paying to watch this movie. I could accept Tom Holland as a young Nathan Drake (like kid Nathan Drake), but he's not adult Nathan Drake.

Uncharted is a great gaming series. I've completed the 4 main titles. My favorite game of all time is "ocarina of time". It's also the game I've completed multiple times.
Metal Gear Solid…Hands down THE best game of all time. The only game that has the double discscs, switch the controller mid fight scene, and (the best part of all) the frequency card. Dawg if you lost that card you had to call somebody else who had it just to write them down. Not to mention the plot twist and betrayal in this game…Awwww, always a good time.
Uncharted was the series that introduced me to gaming. It’ll always have a special place in my heart. I was really disappointed by the movie. None of the characters resembled their in game versions whatsoever and some of the scenes just felt like they were ripped straight out of the games to remind us it was Uncharted (falling out of the plane and Nate finding the ships in the cave). It felt like someone made a movie after being told about the games by someone who played them years ago
I played all 4 Uncharted games, actually played the second one first and was blown away by that so I went back and played the first one. Amazing story for the series, those games really pull you in. Naughty Dog usually makes really good games though.
"Favorite game" is so difficult nowadays due to the many genres and emotions felt with each game. I can say Ocarina of Time opened my eyes to just how much of an art games can be. The Metal Gear series (specifically I, III, & V) has to be my most immersive experience, Monster Hunter World was most addicting, and FFVII my most memorable traditional JRPG. With that being said, played and beat all 4 games (and spinoffs) of the Uncharted series. Tom Holland was a good young Nathan Drake and made the character fun. Wahlberg didn't really fit the bill with Sully. Should have been somebody like Aaron Eckhart for that role. I mean they both have the same booty chin for Christ's sake. Definitely gives you the same feeling when you see Rob Pattinson play as Batman... more so Bruce Wayne. Passable, but somethings off.
I agree with you. Soul Reaver has always been my favorite game but when I consider everything that impresses me with this new Horizon Forbidden West it's hard to think I have had a better time playing a video game.

the perfect actor for the role was and will always be BRADLEY COOPER! Homeboy looks like the spitting image of the character in the video games. Age isn't too far off either even now. All of the hardcore Uncharted video game fans agreed with this and wanted this too ever since the first installment but the movie executives didn't care.
I feel tom was more wittier in here than spiderman which i enjoyed cause that's very much nathan drake. I enjoyed it very much looking forward to the sequel. Sidenote the last of us is my favorite game of all time. Great story, characters, gameplay, etc. Part 2 is even better but the first came out on my bday so it holds a special place in my heart

It’s definitely one of the best movies based on video games out here. But as an action/adventure film in general, it was solid. My brother played all the games multiple times and he enjoyed the film. Thought he did the games justice

I do think he fits the younger version of him better though like the last uncharted that's supposed to be like the end, when they went into Nathan's past Tom looks similar to him. I didnt need to watch this movie. Im soooo disappointed. I love this game series and it had the opportunity to be great. Tomb Raider, the first two were great and this game is along the same degree. Tom Holland was not for this. If Sean Connery were alive he could have been Sully. Sully, should have been a much older actor. Not sure about who I would envision for Nathan Drake, but not Holland. I feel like they literally copied some of the game elements shot for shot just to say it was Uncharted, then slapped big name actors on it.

It was a decent family friendly movie if you don't think too much about it. Huge plot holes but I've definitely seen worse. Tati Gabriel was beautiful as always.
Let me start with, I don't play video games like that so I'm not familiar with the backstory. I am a fan of Tom Holland though. With that being said, I felt like to really understand what was going on, you had to know the game. I felt like I was missing some part of the story. But, I did like the way they opened with the plane scene and then showed what was going on from a different perspective later in the movie.
