Ironic how the world ending SCPs aren't usually the scariest or saddest ones. It's SCPs like these. 7034 isn't world ending at all, but it's so scary and depressing...
This is incredibly well done. Like you said it feels like a more horrific version of the infinite Ikea. The Ikea at least had places to rest, never ending materials that allowed for hideouts along with no reason to turn on each other. Yeah there's monsters but you can avoid them if you're able to & with one of the settlements plus they're passive in the morning. With this you have to hope that you find resources from someone else & people due to lack of resources/sleep/clean air/eventually lost hope & denial have more of a reason to turn on each other even this trained agent. Even worse since they're stuck inside their cars & given how many turned on cars are side by side there's air pollution making it hard to see & breath. With the right shit lined up thanks to everything the humans become the monsters. I hope that agent's family got that car package/payment I once heard the SCP give out to dead agents' families.(I saw something about it while reading Shy Guy's SCP wiki page were someone got those privileges for his family removed thanks to his actions but either way given everything going on & this being a big organization they should probably have benefits setup for families that lost their family members working for the foundation)
I've been under the impression that the opening disclosure implies that the family is being shown this video, since Richard mentioned that as an employee he can request that his family is notified of the details of his passing.
Yep still terrifies me hearing this the second time around 😶🌫 I think what is most disturbing is that this can be taken as an allegory to the concept that ones choices and actions do not matter and some cosmetic force has put us on this unremarkable path that we can not escape from...sometimes I wish my brain would just enjoy stories instead of thinking to deeply about them
This might be based on a true story. There was an infamous traffic jam on the Beijing-Tibet Expressway in August 2010. This traffic jam lasted for several days, starting around August 14, and it stretched for over 100 kilometres (about 60 miles)
This SCP Reading sure did go from ''Arials By SOAD'' to ''Dalai Lama By Rammstein'' at the end. XD But all jokes aside, this SCP does give off the vibe of ''im intentionally gonna break you mentally and morally before i give you the right to be consumed by me''. Edit: tried looking up speculation/theories about this SCP, and it seems to be less about arials and more about ''Highway to Hell'', guess i was wrong in choosing Dalai lama huh? XD
its amazing how such a simple concept as an infinite traffic jam is worse then a world ending scenario. When the world ends you at least die quickly 90% of the time, with this your just stuck on the highway until you starve to death because the snails pace ensures you will never reach an off ramp before then which will slowly drive you insane as your realizing the situation your in. Gives me another reason to never ever get a drivers liscence and drive a car, if i will end like this at least i get to blame the driver. Tho chances are pretty slim that public transport will drive on the highway for any reason at all so im pretty safe against the SCP.
The best element to add to your horror story is the feeling of hopelessness.
That video really deserves so much attention for his voice acting alone.
I hate traffic so much, if a day passes and im still in traffic, im jumping off the highway.

And then Russia did the same thing in Ukraine.
Started a traffic jam?...
@@goldentechmahroop3935 just google it. There is this thing called the Internet
@@foxleader3253wtf are you talking about
This my hell, i will take literally anything else over this.
Glad you reacted to this.
Not enough reaction channels have done this one, and it's one of my personal favorites.
Average Volgun SCP video is a top tier production. THIS goes beyond any defined metric. Props to the author too for the creativity and skill!
7034’s one of my favorites. My personal theory for what happens at the end is that it just loops back to the beginning.
Love this one man
Imagine setting scp 1504 on this road...
There was a Doctor Who episode like this.
I think it was called Gridlock?
Hell yeah, i was hoping for you to get to this one
A whole different kind of nightmare fuel.

A road that never ends I'd be surprised and who released the SCP
