I agree. Paul's electvire had interesting rivalry. Back when it was Elekid it had unfriendly rivalry with Pikachu after having a battle in a draw while also looking down on Chimchar when it was still under Paul's team. Then it evolved and we saw it making fun of pikachu with sneak attack. But when it worked together with the mouse to battle Team Galactic, that is when it started to finally respect it and be more on friendly terms. And when Chimchar finally evolved, that is when Electabuzz started to see it more as a rival. In their first battle electabuzz won. But when Monferno evolved again, Electabuzz was looking forward to battle it again that it trained to evolve in Electvire. And just before Ash and Paul's big battle, Electvire and Pikachu also showed each other respect. After beating Pikachu, Electvire was then ready to meet its true rival Infernape and knew that the monkey still had fight left despite seeming to be defeated. What an unforgettable arc.
