8:30 they aren’t shooting sideways. The plane is just simply turning. Throw a ball in front of you and while it is flying turn 90 degrees. Now it appears that you shot sideways even tho you didn’t. This was a thing before the update. The grapes aren’t locked to the movement of the plane. After they have been shot forward, they just fly straight
Carrier Flagship planes could always attack in 360, degrees, they just home a bit now, 4xx however can now attack in a small arc, which is the whole change

Fun fact: before the grapes from planes not only didn't set bloons on fire, they didn't even do extra damage vs normal darts. I'm pretty sure they were statistically identical to normal darts, and the only difference was the firing pattern not being radial and the grapes being able to pop leads
Video idea, do you think you could try to revert back to an earlier version of the game and see if you can still do whatever challenge ( black border, 2mp ) on the harder maps?

It looked like they just got rid of the radial darts from the gameplay? Also I didn't see any homing at all. The tier 4 planes already shot in front of them and the tier 5 already had a spectre style of targeting system.
radial darts get replaced with grapes with mid crosspath. added a couple updates ago. the homing yes is pretty pointless though. not really going to be seeing big changes in damage numbers, but it still helps with fast small targets like leaking cerams.
1:14 I pointed this out in the video covering the change to the 4-2-0 boat's mini plane projectiles, but the mini planes' grapes didn't even damage lead bloons like DDTs even when given camo detection.

Really wish the retry last round/save not disappearing when you lose were put in place for other gamemodes, too. Having to either restart or use a continue and get a bunch of cash, lives, and abilitiy cooldowns you might not want to have for the sake of completing it more legitimately is really, really annoying.

This might be a hot take but spectre is the best tower in the game because it can literally solo hard(with CD) and the buildup is very powerful and it goes very well with an alchemist
Spectre is as a whole is like what? 30k? That also loses the brew synergy from its previous upgrade, does very little past 80 and does nothing to ddts. The likes of condor, trex and bads are all much cheaper that also does something past 80.

Nope, they just reduced radial's range by a lot in exchange of damage

Man the range nerf of the mini planes and having basically no pierce is really, really rough for my strats.
Remember it has 2 projectiles instead of 1 now, so the pierce isn't actually that bad.
