FWIW, the steel-maker Takefu had so many issues with fake VG-10 in Chinese made knives in the 1990s that they prohibited its export from Japan (except in finished knives). That's one reason it's so prevalent in Seki-city kitchen and Spyderco knives. But now there's about 100 models in VG-10 from China produced for Boker, Kizer, Camillus, James Brand, etc, starting around $60, so its its plausible this could be the real deal.
The pocket-friendly competitors to this are all much more expensive: Spyderco $280 SpydieChef and $240 Kapara, Kizer $168 Clairvoyant (in Ti/CF) and $70+ Towser K, $134+ Kansept Bulldozer (in S35VN), Artisan $100 Andromeda and $70 Ahab. Of these, only the SpydieChef permits a hammer grip when cutting on surfaces, but all will permit a pinch grip. I have a 2nd hand Ahab, but in wood, so the handle isn't washable under the faucet, and I'm keeping my eyes peeled for a 2nd hand CQI Kapara.

I use mine all the time through my whole shift. Have the black one with the clip. Really a good investment if you work in a kitchen

Truly hilarious whipping it out of a pocket people aren’t ready. Eventually I want the orange. Now I’m going down the rabbit hole of folding chef knives. Most all of them cost more!!! Why man😂

Sweet, lefty button lock.
Actually the standard button locks are better for me/lefty than this would probably be, but still interesting and I may get one at some point.

Tacray makes a larger version with a deep carry pocket clip. It is EDCable.

So. I follow maker on insta. He’s a chef and wanted to make a folding kitchen knife. I want to say his kickstarter was 400-600$. His concept was pretty cool.
