You got me on this one: I saw this knife on obuy and thought it was not going to make sense for its use. Then your video came around, plus a $10 off coupon from obuy and points…. We’ll got this knife for $35 and in excited to receive it. My main chefs knives are great including my custom Savage Stone Serbian clever in NitroV, but sometimes when I got to camp or cook at my in-laws I don’t want to bring my knives nor do I want to use their knives…. This will be a good solution. Plus I love a thin slicey blade for the kitchen.
The tolerances on that pen are really impressive. That bar lock chef knife is an interesting idea. I'd be nervous flipping that one open too. $55 is an amazing price.

I just received the “Dedfish German Kiritsuke Duo” chefs knife in a gorgeous folding case from Battlbox mission 98. The box is magnetically, closed and holds the knife inside the cut out with magnets as well. The knife case acts as a butchers block cutting board. I’ve used it in the house but not out camping yet. But I am so ordering the folder in your video. You did not steal me wrong on the Flissa, the NXT Flagship Mini and the Sitivien!! Thanks for the review! Do you have any experience with the Dedfish knife?
Really like the look of the tactile turn pens but I have a problem paying $100 for a pen. Do you have any experience with the O-pen mini from Olight? They’re on sale and thinking about grabbing one.
Folding Camp Knife? Nah!!! That sucker belongs in a pocket as a shock and awe piece. Like others have said and you agree "get your fingers out of the way". That is one ridiculously large folding "Chef Knife". For me it would be worth buying just to have such an odd creature in the collection.
Ive been looking for a folding chef knife, but the huge possible flaw i see is the Spydie hole. I pinch grip as well as most others who cook. And that just seems to be in the worst possible place but maybe not. I'd have to hold it to know.

The knife is really nice, but it's too short to make a good chef's knife. It's more like a utility knife. You need about a 6" blade. Don't believe me? Let's see if you can easily cut a watermelon, cabbage, squash, or pumpkin with it.
Okay but have you considered that the situations where you suddenly realize you have to cut up a watermelon probably aren't situations where you need to *easily* cut up a watermelon?
