    Can I ask why glycogen metabolism and increased lactate production happened when exercising in hot environments ?

      Sorry but I don't know that area of research. If I had to guess I would say it is sympathetically driven. Stress increases sympathetic stimulation and that can have these effects. I am not 100% certain on this though. Hopefully someone who knows this area of research will respond.

      @@VivoPhys dose total energy requirements increase or just the carbs to fat being metabolised ratio change ?

      I believe it is just a switch of fuel sources not an increase in energy usage. If there are subtle increases in energy usage it isn't major.
