Was considering Chamber or Sealer pro, but after watching your video, got my hand on the sealer pro on the Black Friday sales. Thanks for your video, keep it up!
I've had 3 different vacuum sealers over the past few years and the Anova is the best one by far. It's simple, reliable, and has such useful features. The double seal is a huge benefit. Thanks for your presentation!
I'm looking to replace my old machine that I've had for maybe 20 years. It seals a bag in maybe 4 or 5 seconds. We use it to vacuum seal salmon often a few dozen. Waiting almost half a minute for each bag to seal is a deal breaker for me. Looks like a good unit otherwise but I'll continue looking....
One feature other vacuum sealers have that I havent seen addressed for this one yet is a removable drip tray. If you vacuum something where liquids come out of the bag- 1 is there a removable tray to easily clean the liquids out of???? 2 can the liquids go down into the vacuum pump destroying the pump or how has the pump been protected?
Good questions. There is not a removable drip tray, but it’s very easily accessible to clean. The way the pump is housed protects it from a liquid from a bag miscue ruining it. The pump is vacuuming from a cavity the liquid can’t reach, the best I can tell. It’s a better design than others I’ve seen.
I realize that vacuum sealing keeps the food fresher for a longer time than just sealing. But, how much more? Like with your blueberries. How much more "life" do you get out of the berries with the few vacuum pulses you used, than with just sealing? I'm just wondering if it pays to bother with the vacuum sealing as opposed to just sealing for many items.
I received my Anova pro for Christmas and after watching your video I have been vaccum sealing everything. Now I'd like to turn to using canning jars but I cannot find that Anova sells an adapter lid. Can you direct me to a good sealer lid that is compatible with the Anova? I do not see one on their website. I tried one that is compatible with another brand and I'm not sure it is truly sealing. Thanks
@anovaculinary what accessory did you use in this video of yours: th-cam.com/video/9q6M2wBpx7c/w-d-xo.htmlsi=_IpVhihGCptNrUlc Any help here would be appreciated. Great question @jillwhelan7695! I’ve seen some less than ideal hacks as a workaround. We can get to those if needed. Thanks for watching and commenting. Happy New Year!
I was seriously thinking about buying one of these until I watched your video. You make the machine look terrible. Maybe you should practice with gadgets a few times before you make a video where you make the equipment look rubbish.
@@topsousvide I would say , the video is perfect . You show what happens when the wrong mode is used on berries . You also show the difference between wet and dry mode on the nuts . DIY Snack-pack , what happens when you cut the bag too short (or fill it up too much) . Perfectt . A marketing video will never show all this useful information .
@@topsousvide It was so rubbish, that I bought one. Lol. It was a toss up between this and the Nesco. If I use it a lot, I may get the Nesco for backup though.

That snack pack idea is really cool!
Glad you like it! Thanks for watching.
I never thought about snack packs!
Very handy! 😁 Thanks for watching!
Can you vaccum items with liquidss such as brines?
Short answer is no. You’re going to want a chamber vacuum sealer for that.

2-3x generally
Great vid! How does this do with meats that are already marinated? Will the "moist" mode work for that?
Yeah, not a problem. Thanks for watching and commenting! Have a great one.

What does moist mode do differently then dry mode
I believe that’s in the video. Sorry I don’t have the timestamp handy.
Could I use other vacuum bags instead of using Anova vacuum bags?
Yup. Other edge sealer vacuum bags will work. Thanks for watching!
@@topsousvide Do Wevac bags play well with this vacuum sealer? They seem to be cheap and popular. Great video. Thanks.
Appreciate this review!
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Better than Inkbird?
Certainly for sous vide. Debatable otherwise. Anova warranty is hard to beat.
Thank you really helpful
I’m glad it helped! Thanks for watching and commenting!
The Australian version cannot store the plug underneath like the American version because our plugs are bigger
Ahhh. That’s a bummer. Thanks for sharing that.
Nice job thanks
Thanks for watching! Appreciate the feedback.

I agree, so amateurish. By the way look at his comment lol apparently we can’t say anything at all anymore or else we’re miserable people
@@topsousvidelike what lol this video was fine. Good gravy 🙄
