Congrats on being able to send your daughter, Ikae! I went from 2017 - 2019 and hands down, the best experience of my life! Let me know if you have any questions that I can help answer :)
If you have the opportunity, go to campus in the fall and the sprink, literally the best times on campus and that will give you a good idea of what the expect when you get accepted! Good luck :)
i’ve been wanting to go to UO since i was 11 years old, now i’m a junior in high school planning to visit in the summer - possibly compete in the nike outdoor nationals at hayward !! but either way, i can’t say this enough but this campus and the programs that have been built are simply incredible. - thank you for everything !!
JEEZ! Only can wish to have the positive attitude the host has. Man. I also wish my parents pushed me to go to college. That was just never in the cards for me. This seems like such a good time.
Ah, my Alma Mater! It looks very different from when I was there from 2004-2009. So many new buildings! And my housing complex is scheduled to be demolished next year 😢 (Hamilton complex). Oh, and RIP to President Dave Frohnmayer, he was pres during my years. Class of '09 💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿
Beavers are better. You would have gotten a better education and better job opportunities if you went to OSU. I'm just saying. I'm not trying to troll you or anything.
@mr.meowsercat2332 You may not be happy about it now, but you will get more out of your learning and experience. You will also get more respect, will have better job opportunities, and be able to start a business better after graduating at OSU. OSU is also a better funded school. You will, in the long run, be happy you attended OSU.
I’ll also luckily be joining in this fall too! I’m incredibly excited as there’s just a crazy amount of community stuff going on here so I’m just absolutely livid going here. But if anyone could answer my question that would be great! Are our roommates gender limited? If that’s confusing it’s okay but I’m just wondering if guys have to dorm with only guys or if it’s more free then that. Cause I can’t seem to find this information anywhere else lol!
Hi and that's a great question! So, generally speaking, the dorms/ roommates will try to keep you with the same sex on your floor because of the shared bathrooms. Barnhart has private bathrooms so there are co-ed floors. Does that help?
@@AlvyMacias kind of? Thank you for responding, but more or less I’m asking if there are options where your roommate isn’t limited to your sex? If that makes sense lol
What you are looking for is our Gender Equity Hall, a community for students who are committed to gender inclusion for LGBTQIA+ individuals. Residents in this community can choose to share a room with a student of any gender identity or biological sex. For more information go here dos.uoregon.edu/gender-inclusive-housing or reach out to one of our housing specialties who can answer any questions you have, housing@uoregon.edu.
Someone from housing will be better suited to answer any specific questions you have. Please email housing@uoregon.edu and they will make sure you get taken care of. We are excited to see you in the fall!
@@BackRoll23 how many years ago was that 😂 I’m a senior and grew up in Eugene everyone I know calls it UO including some of the students in this video. don't go to that school. No support for international student. It was my mistake choosing that school and wasted my two years there. I am transferring to oregon state university and people are so nice there. I will repeat that school is a money hungry school.
I second the UO comment. University of Oregon...did you really sign off on this? I’m sure the video is great, but I can’t get past the five “UO” mentions in the first minute. Fingernails on a blackboard. We are not the inverse of Oklahoma. Did this guy even come to Eugene, or is this all green screen? Not trying to hate, but this is such a basic and obvious miss. #uofo

@@uoregon Odd that you would abbreviate University of Oregon as UO. We are University of Oregon, not University Oregon. Oklahoma University is abbreviated as OU, which does make sense. A Google search of "U of O" brings up University of Oregon, where as search of "UO" brings up Urban Outfitters.
@@uoregon I grew up in Eugene and went to the U of O. I have many friends who are graduates. I have never heard Oregon called “UO” before today. It sounds like fingernails on a chalkboard. Once the U of O always the U of O. Marketing FAIL.

I'll be joining University of Oregon this Fall! Just got my acceptance letter. Can't wait for the move from Texas to Oregon! GO DUCKS!
See u there
i’m also making the move from texas to oregon!! hope i see you around
Yeah.... that'll be awesome!
Which program are you accepted into ? I am waiting to hear from the university after two interviews.
Congrats on getting accepted, Michelle. I moved from California to Oregon. Are you going to try to establish residency in Oregon and save money?

Why does he keep referring to the University of Oregon as UO and not U of O? Nobody calls it UO
I think they're trying to make it sound more palatable by removing a syllable. They want it to be said easily. I don't agree. But I understand.
