Nuss Collection Presents 1920 Mack AC Oil Field Rig

Hi, I’m Bob Nuss, and today we’re showcasing a stunning 1920 Mack AC truck. You’d never guess this beauty was originally painted any differently when it rolled out of the factory. This remarkable restoration was completed by the Gasoline Alley team, led by Ron Carey in Canada.
This Mack AC is a genuine oil field rig, featuring a unique combination of wheels: cast iron wheels with hard rubber tires on the front, and Dayton wheels on the rear. We were intrigued to learn this detail from a guest who identified himself as an industrial anthropologist. He pointed out the wheel types, and upon investigation, we confirmed his observation. It seems the combination was a result of available parts during restoration.
The truck boasts a C-cab design with pop-out windows, eye-catching paint, and a large winch with a rope for the cable. It’s a true gem and a fantastic example of vintage craftsmanship.
