'Happy' is the song that suppose to be release on her birthday (9 March) BUT on that day, her Father is passed away.. Then the release date have been postpone.. For me, when listening to 'Happy', I have mixed feeling, Happy & Sad at the same time.. 😐
Me too, esp since my grandma died very close to that date and year so the song feels bittersweet for me

Taeyeon has been known since her early debut to be phenomenal at delivering emotions. That kpop meme “she/he sings like she’s been through x numbers of divorce” started because of Taeyeon. They literally are the words the composer, Yoo Young Seok, used to describe Taeyeon’s singing.
One of those OST songs was from 2008 when Taeyeon was just a teenager.
Became a Sone in 09 so I am blessed to have been a fan for most of her career. Tae is my fav singer of all time. Incredible talent, discography and personality

She has a very good aura. And she is indeed a very good person. Evidenced by the many people who love her

I'm not sure if you've seen her Top 12 Emotional video but it's a compilation of her concert performances.
Whenever i listen drawing our moments dingo i hold my breath drawing our moments live is so good and its hard to sing live but she did this so drawing our moments live is my fav these vocal ups and downs are perfect
I proudly stand by the fact Taeyeon doesn’t have a bad song so when you get better ❤ and feel up to it anything you choose will be great. My personal favorite her 2nd full album Purpose + repackage and her covers on the show Begin Again 3 (When We Were Young, Slow Motion, All of Me, Fix My Make Up are my favorites). Feel better and stay hydrated.
I think I have mentioned this to you before; Taeyeon's voice is what got me into K-Pop. She had her solo debut with 'I' in 2015 and I was hooked. I have listened to some things that Girls Generation have done but they did not interest me as much as Taeyeon's solo stuff (and I have no clue just why that is; I know they are basically Royalty of the Second Generation. OBVIOUSLY they have some GREAT material or they would not have been The Nations Girl Group. Some of their songs are catchy but not as much for me as Tae's solo work). Finding her led me to other stuff like Mamamoo, Twice, GFriend, BLACKPINK, Red Velvet, (G)I-DLE and DreamCatcher (which is now my Ult Group) and led into many newer groups.
I was going to suggest Taeyeon's entire discography to you anyway so I am very glad that you decided to do that on your own.
There are of course many songs they left out of this episode of Killing Voice. I guess they only put in her very most popular songs, which makes sense. Some of these needed Music Videos but never got them. For instance, 'Gravity' easily could have been a Title track. Others that did have MVs probably should have been b-sides (that would be SM's goons mucking with their talent's careers, and not Tae's fault...).
But somehow, I don't think they people at Killing Voice would have known exactly where to put her song 'Something New' while she was on this show, so that is likely why it did not get attention here. GREAT fun song with a SUPRISING MV that I LOVED. :)

You're right. She's a sweetheart 🥰 and also so down to earth including to her juniors whether they're popular or not. She treated all the same, staff or idol. She's also very supportive of her fellow colleagues
And she is also now 'gun-shy', having been abused by the system enough that she only has very few people she actually trusts. She has had her stylists and wardrobe people around her for her entire career, so when she did her reaction videos to her own songs (at least for Weekend and for INVU), she had them react to the MVs with her.
So these days she is a very shy person, but it seems like that is PTSD related (she was already an introvert before all this crap happened...can you imagine being picked as Group Leader as an introvert? WOW! And then she caught all that hell for all the crap that happened to the group from outside and from inside of it...).

Definitely go through her 2nd album repackaged. It's widely regarded as her best album from the entire fandom.
As for lives, her Begin Again series is a must watch. She goes busking through Berlin, singing some of her own songs and covering others like Adele or Billie Eilish.
One of my favorite sets ever. From any genre, any era. Her agility is astounding, but the way she conveys emotion….
my most fave Taeyeon album is her Purpose 2nd album repackage. i may listen to other artists/albums every now and then, but i always go back to listening to this whole album because it's just soooo good!
Her album "Purpose" is quite legendary in the fandom. Widely considered one of (if not the) best album by her to date.
It also contains the two songs that stood out to you in this Killing Voice: Four Seasons and Gravity.
Gravity being one of my favorite songs in all of K-Pop, made me really happy when when it appealed to you.

i mainly recommend her full albums my voice (deluxe version) and purpose, they have some of her greatest songs and they hold so much meaning and story, she really put so much effort in them... as for mini albums i really recommend what do i call you and something new, they're my personal favs
i highly highly recommend you her second repackage album, Purpose The 2nd Album Repackage. not only it contained the regular one, a literal masterpiece, BUT that album also gave us Drawing Our Moments which definitely is my absolute favorite from her entire discography (yes, her entire discography i dare say). you will LOVE the album. it also have Gravity, a song you love based on what you heard from her killing voice performance.
also, my other picks for you would be her japanese releases, I'm the Greatest and I Do (i really feel like you're gonna love I Do, from the impression you gave off after listening to Four Seasons). I Do is also one of my favorite songs from her.

PURPOSE/PURPOSE REPACKAGE is masterpiece
Taeyeon are indeed beautiful!! Like you said, her songs are timeless so, it will always sounds nice and great and also easy to listen (?) even if it's the first time you heard the song. She can effortlessly pulled off any style and any genre with her beautiful skills. Love her. If you like to hear a good vocal like really good vocal, I'd definitely recommend you to check on BTOB's Killing Voice!!! (I'm not their fans but all kpopers would definitely knew them cause they're one of the greatest ballad group in the 2nd gen of kpop, their songs are also great!!)
If you want to choose a Taeyeon album to listen to, I would recommend the repackaged version of PURPOSE. It's almost like a greatest hits package. Tae also has many MV's of her album tittle tracks.. I would start with her first solo MV "I" (2015), and work your way up to the present. Every MV is really top notch. She is her own genre. To me she is the most accomplished female kpop artist of all time. From leader & main vocalist of legendary female group Girls' Generation, to beloved solo artist, she has done it all. From 2007 to 2023, she has been a legend in the Kpop scene.

You really can’t go wrong with her full albums. It’s not that her minis are bad, some of my favorites come from those, but her studio albums just hit different. So My Voice Deluxe (her 1st, 17 tracks) and Purpose Repackaged (2nd, 15 tracks) would be my suggestion for either a reaction or just checking out privately. You’ve heard quite a few songs from those in this Killing Voice.

1. Priority. A collab among Taeyeon, Winter from Aespa, and Max Changmin (topnotch highnote belter) from TVXQ. the lyrics, the song itself, and the only live performance are all breath-taking
2. The Two Kids Room series, One Kid series fby Stray Kids. watching these are remarkble bonding experiences. Nuanced, in-depth, and heartwarming.

She seems to like to create a story with her song choice on the full albums. Also, I hope you get to her 1st Japanese album as well. She has 2, but the first one is everyone's favorite.
