I'm a little confused - in the US, the presidential motorcade has a TON more support vehicles, including no less than two ambulances. This feels like a very limited/lightweight motorcade to me, but maybe it's a different type of detail in the UK?
Seen way bigger ones in the UK as well, I'm guessing this was one of the presidents less important colleagues. Actually the one at 6:48 looks more like the real deal.
This is a MASSIVE convoy for the UK. The Royal family usually move discreetly with about 3 escort cars and 3 or 4 motorcycle outriders from the Metropolitan Police Special Escort Group. Roads remain open to other traffic and the outriders clear a route. Remember that in the UK gun ownership is extremely restricted. Handguns are completely illegal. We have different threat environments between the UK and the US & all different kinds of factors that go into which vehicles are used and why. Our vehicles are a lot heavier because of the equipment on them and in them + we need to be able to move quick in a big SUV which is why we have V8’s
@@TheSpragerton thank you and appreciated. How do you know it contains ECM? I know the Americans have a massive vehicle just for that but wonder how feasible it would be to put in a rooftop box.
@@DM-hp7ctThe brits are a lot more discrete and secretive with their equipment they use to protect both the Royal Family and the Prime Minister. You can see from the side there is a thick wire going into the side where the door is. If you look at President Putins motorcade he has a roof box on a car in his motorcade containing ECM. It’s widely know that ECM and secure communications can be put in a roof box so the enemy cant see what type of antennas and equipment they are using. Hope this helps:)
I think this happens in the UK far more than any other country in the world, except the USA. Looking forward to watching.
Yes I think it does. It is nice to see them on the UK roads! :)
I see me! 👋
👋😀
those lads and lasses on the bikes don't mess about.
I like to see the unmarked cars in action cos they are just 🤩

A very controlled pace, obviously safer, but more able to detect any rapid approaches by bad actors
2 questions come to mind. Why is there a uk registered Surburban and 2, how do we manage just fine with 2L vito and Volvo hybrid yet they need 6.2 V8?

@bullets4lunch You tried to sound clever, but you're far from it. Your explanation is 😂😂
The answer is literally.. "because 'Murica!"
@@Infinity-and-Beyond.011 lol but it’s literally true though multiple agents have said this
Because it's faster and sounds better
Anyone know what the storage box on top of the Range Rover is?
ECM (Electronic Countermeasures)
