Cynthia 👏👏👏 he does have a Great Voice he has a WONDERFUL VOICE he can bring it down mellow and soft and then TEAR YOUR EARS OFF THE SIDE OF YA HEAD . He's BRILLIANT 💥💥💥
I discovered Husker Du in the early 80s and was lucky enough to see them play in London on a couple of occasions in the mid 80s. They initially had a hardcore punk sound but gradually became more accessible as they progressed.
Chris and Cynthia for someone who doesn't enjoy summer at all I've done very well thank you on the song front i feel spoiled but I'll get over it 😊😮😅😂❤ THANKS FAMILY
Yeah! They started out kinda hardcore. But this shows their catchier sort of alt-rock sound and it's so energizing! As a guitarist, major props to Bob Mould, master 🎸
Yeah that cover really rocked me at age 18. I liked 60s rock and modern ('90) rock, and the combination was revelatory. SST Records was so good. Their catalogs had great descriptions that made me feel smart, like I'm an open minded smart kid who likes modern And classic And experimental music 🤓💥

I’m fully aware of the legacy and respect Husker Du left behind , Billy Joe Armstrong in particular pays homage to them .. I just never got into them , probably that’s my loss , I’ll never know 🤷♂️ 👍🏴

One of the biggest mystery in music history is how their production was so bad in the 80’s. Even the albums after they signed with Warner Bros sounded like this. Bob Mould 2000’s solo and his 90’s band Sugar has great sound though.
I look forward to your summer orientation during the Australian summer. I am also glad you didn't do Mondo Rock's ''Come Said The Boy'' like I had suggested recently. That song is very much a summer song, and needs to be heard in December. Below is a list of Aussie summer songs I recommend. Billy Thorpe - It's Almost Summer (Audio + Video merge 2024) (do in November) Dragon - Summer Antipodes (do in November) *Thirsty Merc - In The Summertime thirstymercofficial*
Like Guns 'n' Roses' ''Sweet Child O' Mine'' sounding similar in structure to Australian Crawl's ''Unpublished Critics'', Nirvana's ''Smells Like Teen Spirit'' has a similarity to ''Daughters Of The Coast''. Australian Crawl were on Geffen years before GnR and Nirvana were signed to the label.

Kia Ora hello Cuzzie. Hay PLEASE DON'T ENCOURAGE SUMMER DOWN UNDER if we keep our mouths shut it might forget to come here this year and we can enjoy rain clouds patches of sun and more rain ☔
@@heathcornbeef I'm all for rain! Don't get me wrong. But I live in Tasmania and it gets cold here. Our winters are a nightmare, but our summers are good and a welcome change from the dreary weather of Tassie. If we do have a rainy summer, then that will give the Haniers a reason to give Dragon's ''Rain'' a revisit. 😆
@@jaymacgee_A_Bawbag_Blethering lol...That was funny. Who made the comment about Australian music getting there first, and what was it referring to? The only case that springs to mind is that The Saints released ''I'm Stranded'' a month before The Damned released ''New Rose'', but drawing a comparison to 70's London and 70's Brisbane is pointless.. The difference being Punk bands in Police state Brisbane got beaten up by cops, and London was.. we all know the story of London. I would hope Aussies weren't carrying on like the Indian character in that sketch. That would be petty.
In my opinion it's ok the vox are a bit buried. Mould and Hart were not "good" singers but they're intense. Especially Mould on Eight Miles High cover etc. And R.i.p. Grant Hart🕊️

A great band Hüsker Dü, they did okay in the U.K. but never got really big sadly.
I'd forgotten how great this album is, i lost my copy to someone along the way, i need to pick it up again.
Thanks to the guy requesting Husker Du. I’d like to see them react to Byrds and Husker DU’s versions of Eight Miles High back to back
