Great reaction, thanks! As you have been already told, Mikio was not part of this live performance. He was Takayoshi Ohmura's (gold guitar) sensei and best fiend. Great & Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。"Rondo" is a musical form with a recurring leading theme. I can't tell how many times I have viewed this video. It is literally a rondo of happy dream for me. Kamis' (=Gods') super solos were excellent enough as a main event in the show, but once the 16-year-old Queen (as of 2014) emerged from the underground, she colored everything differently with her penetrating voice then turned Kami Band's plays into a ritual to summon her.
I agree. Although I love singers with the ability to sing technically with the whistle tones, vibrato, etc. Su is perfect with her style. I love her tone, her voice is powerful, and the way she puts her emotion in it is everything for me. She hits me right through my ❤️.

Yes it is generally believed by professional singers/reactors she IS doing this live - there are other examples like the recent 10 Budokan shows where clearly she CAN produce a wide range of vocal effects naturally by how she holds the mic and positions it and her body. Another comment on her breathe control I saw recently by a professional singer was when they realised she was doing the song LYING DOWN for the first half.
Enough people have commented on the quiet verse I would like to add my comments, and I will start by stating the Kobametal is the *grand* master of post-production. I believe in this performance the quiet verse was on the backing track. Su- pulls the mic out of position and stops moving her mouth before the verse ends in order to set up to come back in with the chorus. It is that way on the BD. Su- has never been able to maintain mic discipline when lip syncing although it is topnotch when actually singing. It is conceivable that she sang live at the venue and because of the mic mishandling the studio track for the verse was overlaid in post-production for the BD/DVD. Because she had briefly discussed the technique in an interview, I do believe she used nasal resonance in the studio. I would be interested in what other performance has a different story.
The guitarist who passed away is Mikio Fujioka. The two guitarists in this performance are Ohmura Takayoshi and Leda Cygnus. Only two of the three regular guitarists are active during any given performance. ISAO replaced Mikio. Ohmura is almost always on stage. Leda is still considered a regular. 17:38 How? How Su does that is a very good question. All we know is she does that live. Some people say it were because she's pressing her nose to the mic, which she did during this performance. Only she did not the day before. She was 16 years old during this concert. Vocal lessons started at age 7. That's one reason she was that good at such a young age. Another reason is raw talent I guess.
There's a lot of discussion if she sang that part with an effect, consensus is that it's a recording, I believe she sang it. There is another concert on DVD where they missed taking the effect off and it was on for a second when Su went back to the chorus. If you look at what Su is doing, she is bending her neck constricting her vocal folds, and has the bottom of the mic pressed up against her nose, catching the sound coming through her nasal passages. Also with an effect on. Totally cool Also Su does sing very high, check out From Duck to Dawn, you will be amazed. But, Su does something I appreciate in a vocalist - she knows she is singing every night, and she only records notes she can produce every night. Also it saves her voice. Songs like From Dusk to Dawn are so on the edge she could injure her voice if she sang it every night. So she doesn't
I believe in this performance that verse was on the backing track. She pulls the mic out of position and stops moving her mouth before the verse ends in order to set up to come back in with the chorus. It is that way on the BD. Su- has never been able to maintain mic discipline when lip syncing although it is topnotch when actually singing. It is conceivable that she sang live at the venue and because of the mic mis-handling the studio track for the verse was overlaid in post-production for the BD/DVD. Because she had briefly discussed the technique in an interview, I do believe she used nasal resonance in the studio. I would be interested in what other performance has a different story.
I watched a voice coach react to the video and they said it was 100% possible that it was her voice. They went into a long explaination of what she was doing and it was close to what the original person here said.
One of my favourite songs by BABYMETAL 🤘 The musicianship of the Kami Band and the absolute amazing vocals by Su, just perfect. Thanks for your reaction!
Simply and absolutely, The Queen! No more words. Great react again man. You need watch Syncopation live, beleve me, is simply Perfect! See you at the next, Kitsune 🤟🏻🦊🇯🇵🔥🔥🔥
Absolute fire!! 🔥🔥 I always call this Metal Walzer because of the rhythm. Amazing. Akatsuki is the other Su's solo on the first album. Then you can react to Black Babymetal songs (Moa and Yui solos performances)!
Before going to the second album you definitely need to listen to some Black Babymetal where it’s just Moa and Yui. I recommend Onedari Daisakusen. When you move into the next album you have to start with Karate or Yava
The guitarist who passed away after a tragic fall was Mikio. The Kami band members would sometimes do live streams "out of character" and he seemed like a total sweetheart of a man. th-cam.com/video/n01XIMRBPus/w-d-xo.html
Great reaction TYLR! This is one of my favorite BM songs, although not my actual favorite. I think that would be Shine... I think... lol Really enjoy watching your BM reactions, especially since you do them at night (well...for me it is at night). I get home from work at around 10pm, I get my dinner, turn on my computer and there you are! Just released another BM video 30minutes ago! What a nice treat to come home to! lol So keep em coming! Also can't wait to see your reaction when you do the TOOL Drum camera reaction I mentioned. Sincerely hope you give that a try. I really think you're going to love it. Danny Carey (drummer for TOOL), has a camera set up with his drums so you get to watch him do his thing at different angles (he has a HUUUUUGGEEE) drum set during the song. People tease him somewhat by calling him the octopus drummer because it sounds impossible to do what he does. He's also a master of polyrhythmic drumming, where each arm is doing totally different rhythms and his feet are also doing something different too. Crazy guy lol Anyhow, great reaction, and looking forward to more reactions!
@@technosworld2 It's tough for me, but I think mine would be Shine, Syncopation, Meta-Taro (don't know why...just like it lol), then Megitsune and Rondo....I think...
Kamiband : We're gonna blow your minds with our awesome solos! Sumetal : Hold my matcha latte.... Love watching the drummer Hideki in this, when the camera pan to him in the beginning, he looks like he's just casually drumming and not responsible for the machine like pounding in the background with the double kicks. Most singers might get intimidated having to follow the spectacular performance by the Kamiband, but 16yr old Su just gets up there, and shows you why Babymetal was built around her. Since you like Budokan, you should checkout Akatsuki in the same venue, and as a two parter, you should then do Akatsuki Unfinished. Unfinished is basically a stripped down version of the song, where its only just Su and a piano ..... So far you've mostly heard Babymetal's rock/metal side....Its time you take a walk to the Ballad section....You have Akatsuki Unfinished and No Rain No Rainbow (preferably from Legend S XX concert) to tug at your heart strings. 🤘🦊🤘
If you do No Rain, No Rainbow the considered masterpiece of this is the Legend S version. Where you can see the difference between a 16yo singer and a now 20 year old.
I 100% believe she is doing that part herself. She really is that talented. I have seen a good number of voice choach and professional singer reactions explain how she is doing it.
Oh Great Reaction, Buddy You must be check it out THE METAL HIJAB also They called VOB (VOICE OF BACEPROT) They from Indonesia They Have metal music cover 1. ENTER Sandman (Metallica) 2. Killing In The Name (RAGE Againt The Machine)
After the last video I just knew you'd love BOH's bass solo in this song and Su's voice is just incredible as always (no surprise there). Hipe you do a Black Babymetal sing next to see the contrast. I recommend "Sis. Anger". Kitsunes up 🤟🦊🤟
Also a big fan here, waiting for them to tour my country again. Another journey in music you might appreciate: Epica! Also great vocals and a great live experience.
Classic Babymetal. 🤘🏻🦊🤘🏻 Su is a queen where you just sense that she owns that stage. And the show around only underlines that even more. Well, from what I could tell from this and your video on CMIYC, you like good guitarists and bass players. Okay, without going on too long, I'll just say 'ASTERISM 『DAWN』2019/04/20'. Get ready for a nearly 9 minute journey. My recommendation, keep your hands off the pause button for at least the last 3 minutes and let them carry you along for the ride. 😉 _____________________ 「 _'Our rock never dies ever. Forever!'_ 」 --- *BAND-MAID* 'Manners' 🕊
And after that long speech about what makes a good singer, Su-metal proves his point, again. Just awesome analysis! Ha ha! Always great reactions Tylr. Can't wait till you delve deep into Sakura Gakuin. Really looking forward to those! But for their second album, start with Karate. Also, you should check out Babymetal's debut performance in Sakura Gakuin in 2010: th-cam.com/video/C-r4bajuu9Y/w-d-xo.html. And you'll get to meet the White Tshirt Guy (WTG). Ha ha!
The singing at 17:23 which I thought was some kind of effect was spotted by another reactor to be Su putting the mic to her nostril. Not sure if that actually is how it's done but it certainly appears that way.
It is exactly how it is done. Mike to the nose. Plus, you have to be born as one of the most talented soprano singers of the world, supported by dozens of professionals, and practice the technique for hours and hours and hours.
I saw someone in another reaction say that Su achieves that quiet whispery part by turning the microphone upside down, jamming it up her nose and singing into it the "wrong way". I have no clue if this is true or not, though.
Please react to Wagakki Band / 鏡花水月(Kyoukasuigetsu)+月に叫ぶ夜(Tsukini sakebu yoru) - REACT tour 2019 Wagakki means traditional Japanese instrument. The fusion of Wagakki and Band is very cool and beautiful.
the guitaris pass away is mikio, if i dont wrong in this video play with blue guitar. the gold guitar is ohmura. and one more time if i dont wrong after mikio pass away leda take him position in the band. mikio usualy using pink guitar, and after he pass away mikio wife give the pink guitar to ohmura, you can notice mikio with his big smile
There are two opinions to her quiet singing part, one is she is lip synching to a track, the other is she is basically singing thru her nose as you see she presses the mic right into her nose for that part, which gives it the overtone you hear. Peace
I’m convinced that she is lip-syncing to that one bit where her voice sounds like it’s going through a filter of some kind. It’s identical to the studio recording, and if you see it enough times, it’s always exactly the same. BABYMETAL does use pre-recorded vocals, in very specific spots like that. She’s still giving the most amazing live performance you could possibly find anywhere. You really should check out Yui and Moa doing their songs at Budokan before moving on to the second album. Also the BABYMETAL version of “Over the Future” is great.
I’m more impressed with a singer who can sustain a note than one who seems to need to add a lot of tremolo/modulation to carry it. Too much of that often annoys me and just makes me think they can’t hold a note.
it was a recording, it is very hard to tell and there is still disagreement among fans but when you hear other versions that part is identical so to me there is no doubt, she is good but she is not that good. To me the the part of her voice that sets her above many is her voice shouts "look at me, I am the centre of attention" You listen to a Babymetal song and after you realise you only listened to her so you have to play it again to hear what the band were doing
Studied this point and tend to agree it is a recording owing to seemingly identical instances in other performances. There is also a marked change in audio characteristics at the moment she is again inarguably vocalizing live into the mic. Potentially, however, not an effect. She is showing a valid microphone technique known to create that kind of sound. All Su-metal, any way you slice it. Awesome performer in every dimension.
man you cut the video just before the best moments and that was a bad idea it does not have the same power to listen to it with the cuts still a good reaction on your part
I totally agree. Like I've said many, many times, I think her and Morissette Amon are top singers of our time right now, both don't get the credit they deserve, although Mori is starting to get more credit finally.
The look on his face when BOH did his thing 😆

You should check out another Su-Metal solo called No Rain, No rainbow (live from Baptism XX). incredible song and a little more emotive!
I prefer the Legend S concert with orchestra and pianist.
But yes. It is my favorite Suzuka solo.
BOH finger tapped a 6 string base :) - this is why the kami band have so much respect. Every one of them is the master of their instrument.
And he only has 4 fingers so that's a good point that makes it even more impressive.
in a reaction some months ago someone mentioned that effect was caused by the way she was singing into the mic.
いつまでも見ていたい甘美な悪夢です。
My top 10 BABYMETAL songs of the day changes daily, but Rondo of Nightmare is forever number one.
♩♩♩♩♩♩🔥♩♩♩♩♩♩♩🔥
There's a lot of discussion if she sang that part with an effect, consensus is that it's a recording, I believe she sang it. There is another concert on DVD where they missed taking the effect off and it was on for a second when Su went back to the chorus. If you look at what Su is doing, she is bending her neck constricting her vocal folds, and has the bottom of the mic pressed up against her nose, catching the sound coming through her nasal passages. Also with an effect on. Totally cool
Also Su does sing very high, check out From Duck to Dawn, you will be amazed.
From duck to dawn? 😂😂😂😂
Ko-Gami will always be playing with BABYMETAL in spirit.
BABYMETAL FOREVER
🤘🤘🤘
All hail The Fox God
Absolute fire!! 🔥🔥 I always call this Metal Walzer because of the rhythm. Amazing.
Akatsuki is the other Su's solo on the first album. Then you can react to Black Babymetal songs (Moa and Yui solos performances)!
Onedari Daisakusen should be one of the next songs you choose. Black Babymetal is a must listen/view now.
Before going to the second album you definitely need to listen to some Black Babymetal where it’s just Moa and Yui. I recommend Onedari Daisakusen. When you move into the next album you have to start with Karate or Yava
Came here to say this!
The guitarist who passed away after a tragic fall was Mikio. The Kami band members would sometimes do live streams "out of character" and he seemed like a total sweetheart of a man.
th-cam.com/video/n01XIMRBPus/w-d-xo.html
excellent content TYLR-METAL, she was still 16, but she had a few months after Legend 97 to embrace her goddess powers.
Same here, Shine is my #1, then probably Megitsune and then this
@@technosworld2 It's tough for me, but I think mine would be Shine, Syncopation, Meta-Taro (don't know why...just like it lol), then Megitsune and Rondo....I think...
Masterpiece 💜💜💜
You can see mikio in, ijime dame zettai live in sonisphere in the uk video, he was always smiling
I knew you'd love this one.
I 100% believe she is doing that part herself. She really is that talented. I have seen a good number of voice choach and professional singer reactions explain how she is doing it.
Oh Great Reaction, Buddy
You must be check it out THE METAL HIJAB also
They called VOB (VOICE OF BACEPROT)
They from Indonesia
They Have metal music cover
1. ENTER Sandman (Metallica)
2. Killing In The Name (RAGE Againt The Machine)
Really really enjoy your video!!! great reaction video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BABYMETAL is the youngest act to perform at the Budokan and artists need to be invited to perform there.
Live at Budokan: Red Night & Black Night Apocalypse (stylized as LIVE AT BUDOKAN ~RED NIGHT & BLACK NIGHT APOCALYPSE~) is the third live video release by the Japanese heavy metal band Babymetal. It contains two concerts performed at Nippon Budokan shortly after the release of the band's eponymous debut album, and was released on January 7, 2015 in a standard edition and a limited-edition box set exclusively for "The One" fanclub members.
Nippon Budokan:-
Nippon Budokan (日本武道館, Nippon Budōkan), often shortened to simply Budokan, is an indoor arena located in Chiyoda, Tokyo, Japan. Originally built for the inaugural Olympic judo competition in the 1964 Summer Olympics, its name translates as Martial Arts Hall in English. While its primary purpose is to host martial arts contests, the arena has gained additional fame as one of the world's most iconic musical performance venues.
A number of famous rock music acts have played at Budokan. The Beatles were the first rock group to play there in a series of concerts held between June 30 and July 2, 1966. ABBA ended their last tour there. Their final show on March 27, 1980, was the last live concert ABBA performed together. Numerous acts have recorded live albums at Budokan, including Bryan Adams, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Cheap Trick, Dream Theater, Duran Duran, Kiss, Mr. Big, Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest, Journey and Deep Purple.

•Composition: Yuyoyuppe.
•Arrangement: Yuyoyuppe.
Lyrics Overview:-
"Rondo Of Nightmare (悪夢の輪舞曲; Akumu No Rondo)"

[English:]
The waning moon has lit up
the insanity rampant in the shade
The laughter resounds around
It bares its fangs and its eyes gleam
I can’t escape from it
It flickers slowly
appearing and disappearing in my mind
A nightmare rondo is being repeated
The awakening light
is gone far away out of my sight
I can do nothing but run
through the darkness
In the woods, in the fountain
I hide myself holding my breath
but it’s still coming closer to me
A stagnant voice. An endless night
Ah…
If I can no longer get out of here
won’t you show me your figure?
It flickers slowly
appearing and disappearing in my mind
A nightmare rondo is being repeated
The awakening light
is gone far away out of my sight
I can do nothing but fall
into the darkness
This song Su-Metal brings you to the dark side and tells you a story thru the journey and it enticed you.

Kitsune Up 🦊🦊🦊🤘🤘🤘🇯🇵🇸🇬#notacult.
You haven't done either Black Babymetal songs from the first album which are Onedari Daisakusen and Song 4 both versions from this same show are good
absolutely insane I love it 🖤🇯🇵🇯🇵❤️💜♥️💖🖤💓💕💞
After the last video I just knew you'd love BOH's bass solo in this song and Su's voice is just incredible as always (no surprise there).

Misa from Band Maid can finger tapp pretty well aslo.. (in duel with Kanami in couple of Band Maid songs)
🤘🦊🤘
YES!! Another TYLR reaction to BM, they make my day.
Ha ha!
I would suggest No Rain No Rainbow from Hiroshima which is Su’s hometown
Bassist BOH likes to joke that because Sheehan and Wooten were early influences that he didn't know one wasn't supposed to play bass that way.
Nice reaction kitsune 🦊🤘🏻
I'm waiting for KAGEROU ❤️🦊
The singing at 17:23 which I thought was some kind of effect was spotted by another reactor to be Su putting the mic to her nostril. Not sure if that actually is how it's done but it certainly appears that way.
It is exactly how it is done. Mike to the nose. Plus, you have to be born as one of the most talented soprano singers of the world, supported by dozens of professionals, and practice the technique for hours and hours and hours.
😉😉😉🤘🤘🤘
I saw someone in another reaction say that Su achieves that quiet whispery part by turning the microphone upside down, jamming it up her nose and singing into it the "wrong way". I have no clue if this is true or not, though.
🍅💀🍅
🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
Please react to Wagakki Band / 鏡花水月(Kyoukasuigetsu)+月に叫ぶ夜(Tsukini sakebu yoru) - REACT tour 2019
Wagakki means traditional Japanese instrument.
17:40 yea she is producing this. It’s a nasal effect.
it was a recording, it is very hard to tell and there is still disagreement among fans but when you hear other versions that part is identical so to me there is no doubt, she is good but she is not that good.
Please react to Amore or Onedari Dakaiusen Moa only edition
Don't move on until you react to at least Song 4 (4 no Uta) and Ijime Dame Zettai please!!!!
man you cut the video just before the best moments and that was a bad idea it does not have the same power to listen to it with the cuts still a good reaction on your part
Su really is one of the best singers of our time. She doesn't get enough credit.
Absolutely agree.
I totally agree. Like I've said many, many times, I think her and Morissette Amon are top singers of our time right now, both don't get the credit they deserve, although Mori is starting to get more credit finally.
👍 👍
Her full name is Suzuka (but pronounced as two syllables so Suz-ka NOT Su-zu-ka)
The bassist is Bohte Daisuke aka BOH
