in the past year, I have returned to this exact video, between reloading times. I have used this as a reminder, and on my desk top at "full screen" mode. This video is to the point, clear, and a set example top to bottom. Lee precision should pay you royalties on this video. I thank you-
Any tube fed of semi auto needs to be slightly crimped to avoid bullets being pushed back into the cartridge. Not the mention it helps with consistency
Excellent series of videos. Thorough, precise, no nonsense presentation. You should give lessons to all the flashy, noisy graphics, head banging music, comedian wannabes that take half an hour to give us 5 minutes worth of information.
thank you for a beginner I appreciate the fact that you showed me the top view to help explain the crimp as related to the correct pressure put on the collet. I see that I have been over crimping Awesome thank you
I can't get my crimp die to work. I lower it down to the ram and then lower it another half turn. I run my case up there but it doesn't crimp. The collets close, but not enough to leave a ring in the brass on the neck. Any suggestions? Thank you.
This die does not leave a ring around the brass. You won't be able to see a change. If the collets close you're good. Don't close them to where you can't see daylight through it 😄
I've read that the redding profile crimp die is good one , any comments, am new to reloading and learning all the ins and outs of getting a Boolit Down Range 🎯
I personally go for a nice firm crimp not to hard but a little heavier than light but it's only my personal preference. I feel like the firm crimp will increase pressure with slightly more vanilla powder charges but I only load for plinking most of the time. I'm no pro like urself. Great video.
Thank you for your beginner series vids they have gotten me the knowledge I've needed to get started. During these uncertain times it is pretty much essential for any firearm enthusiast and or Patriot to possess the equipment and knowledge to reload their own ammo. I fear what the biden administration will try to pull when it comes to our 2nd amendment and we may not be able to get ammo for long. It's always better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it
A good crimp can stabilize velocities and improve accuracy.

Gracias por el video Güero, es muy ilustrativo, Tamaulipas México. Yo sólo recargaba con los dos dados y no este último.

Too out of focus

If the collets close at all, then you're getting a crimp. Don't overdo it.
Very good explanation!

Thank you ✔️
