@@christinam1070 if Wildest Dreams didn't become a global hit you would've said nothing. this is the only song where Taylor actually took inspiration from Lana's melody, folklore and evermore album were plainly alternative which made you think she copied Lana's whole life, your problem tho
If we noticed it more this is probably the case with many many songs only no one involved has noticed or cared yet. If lana had a problem with it taylor would be fair game to give credit to her. Maybe there was a similar song even before Lana's. It's possible taylor herself wasn't actually conscious of it because it seems she would have credited since that seems to be a big deal to her and she gives credit plenty in other works... but I don't actually know her.
The way people would be foaming at the mouth if it had been Lana's song that sounded exactly like a Taylor song... 🙄 But of course Taylor is more well known so she gets a pass.

I don’t give Taylor benefit of the doubt. She copied Lana for sure and got away with it because shes more popular. Lana’s song came out two years before Taylor’s.
@@johnselpatosa1879 I listened to both songs individually. I actually listened to Lana’s second since I would repeat only my favorites from her album. Taylor didn’t even really write wildest dreams (third writer) but as a huge Lana fan as she claims herself, she should be able to tell the huge similarities between both songs and bring it up to her team. The face of an album can’t be guilty free. Either way it’s documented and public info that Lana’s song was two years before the same melody was used in Taylor’s. Bro the hook is literally the same and lyrics give similar vibes even both talking about dreams lmao. Lmao even the middle of the song is the same. When the song is virtually 80% the same and even Taylor talks about loving Lana and being inspired by her, it’s a non brainer.
@@DavidAndreani27 you are wrong unless you give me a resource : mine is the song credits by the studio. First writer is Max Martin, second is Shellback, third is Taylor swift. I should also clarify, I don’t meant to say Taylor didn’t write anything in this song, but song credits are given in order of who was the biggest contributor to the song and Taylor is last. Or can you explain why Taylor is the third writer in this song? This love on the 1989 album is one song where is she the sole writer
@@DavidAndreani27 further if she was sole writer or she was added last for some weird technicality, then she did rip off Lana. I dnt know lana maybe she's popular before and well known.. the only thing was lana music for me is too old style , compare to taylor it's more upbeat ... I will not disrespect to Lana coz I dnt know her well nor her music but pretty honest it was not my taste and taylor one is my bet. 😂

can u do serial killer x wildest dreams (lana and taylor)
if i have spare time i will definitely
Why is this more of a collab than ‘Snow on the Beach’ ?

a cultural reset. I listen to this on a daily basis.

I was just listening to Without You and thought "this sounds similar to Wildest Dreams, I wonder if there's a mashup"

Same here
MADNESS.
LOVE THIS
That’s so funny that Lana has to be accelerated and Taylor’s to be slowed
I'm so glad I wasnt the first one to realize that these sounded familiar
Kinda crazy that when Olivia Rodrigo did something similar with cruel summer Taylor went after her 🤗
