Jr. High (7-9 grades) Drama (and Choir and Guitar) teacher here! I would LOVE to see your backstage spaces and how you organize them! I have been working all summer to get our props, costumes, and building supplies organized so they will be more usable for my second year teaching. I am blessed to have a good sized auditorium, but I don't have much room backstage, fly system or dressing rooms/bathrooms/sinks, or shop. I inherited kind of a mess in my school auditorium, and though I know it will never be "done," I have to at least try to keep some semblance of order so I don't have the chaos that I dealt with last year! Also, do you have any tips for teaching on the stage in a big auditorium space? I do have an office, but no classroom, and keeping the students focused in such a big space is not easy. I've thought about building a school room "set," but I think I've run out of time for that. (And our auditorium is frequently rented by other groups, so everything has to be easily moved and stored.) Whew! Thanks for listening, and thank you for posting more Theatre teacher content!!! 🙂
Marie, you're always my role model - and my astrological twin, because we are the *exact* same age and on similar paths .. Including the divorce thing - would really like for you to share more about that, if you want to - so long, great tee! Cheers
I've used those hooks before in my classroom, and they are fabulous!

Great video! Will you be sharing a flip through of your 2024-2025 teacher bullet journal or planbook?
