Ultimately its true that grocery story coffee bags will typically pull like this since its been sitting so long. Whereas when you buy coffee from speciality coffee roasters you will be buying coffee that has been roasted relatively recently. But the crappy shots isn't about the coffee needing to be 'specialty' or your coffee being low quality. The issue is that the coffee has sat unused for too long and released much of the trapped CO2 that is created during the roasting process. When you pull a shot with recently roasted coffee, the coffee puck expands as it is filled with hot water. This expansion contributes to the pressure build up allowing you to reach 9 bar of pressure. When you leave roasted coffee alone, it slowly releases its trapped CO2. This is why when you buy bags of coffee from specialty roasters there's always a one way release in the bag to allow the build up of gas to escape. Otherwise coffee bags would be exploding and making a mess in everyone's pantry. It's normal to buy a bag of coffee and as it gets older you will need to adjust grind size and dosage to promote higher pressure and pull a well extracted shot. @@Phoenix80675 Nah, coffee as a "hobby" is up there with zodiac signs as a "hobby"
It's their hobby, they're doing nothing really wrong
@@dotheflip4706 Neither are bad things, being judgmental and actually caring like you do is cringe af.
I can literally smell the coffee from the screen
“You put hot water over ground beans because thats how you make coffee and you don’t need this BS”
I wonder if I’ve ever had a “good shot” of espresso
This guy makes me so glad my who personality isn’t revolving around coffee 😂😂😂
It looks that way because he has a TH-cam channel about coffee making
y'all need to chill fr. He ain't judging y'all for spending money every month for Internet, or any type of subscription.
Let the man share his hobby in peace. If y'all don't like it, literally just swipe yo fingers.
“Gross, sad, and flat out bad”
Ayo this guy has some bars
Ahh yes....another genius life hack. Just pay more money.
Bros making me feel bad about it when I’ve never made espresso before wtf 😭
Fr
At least now you know how to make it just in case 😅
It’s because I make coffee like a normal person
you realise there are people who do this as a job... is that not... normal???
Drip coffee takes longer to make and you have more items to clean.
I once said to myself. Coffe is just to keep myself awake. I shouldn't be an addict.
But here I am watching tutorials on how to pull good espresso
I honestly believe though that it’s a good thing. Going after coffee for the taste rather than caffeine makes getting addicted a lot harder
**looks up at whiskey still**
"Oh, that's why it tastes weird"
im Irish are whiskey stills not how everyone makes any drink?
My dumbass thought he was gonna say “this is the reason why u cant pull a bitch” or something 😭😭
Look at how the simplest change makes all the difference
i loved that you show us the wrong and the right... this is gold, did you know how to make nice foam milk to latte art? i'am trying that and no matter how much videos i watch, i not understand why my results get wrong and how to fix it, i mean, some people say X or Y, but i try X or Y and not work well, i totally not understand what X or Y really is, and just do waht X or Y may be in my limited universe point of view LOL
Hey man, don't mind the people in your comments. Keep doing what you like. The world will always find ways to make you feel bad about yourself.
thanks!
@@FlairEspresso You seem like a nice guy tbh but you did come off a bit snobby
I think people are just tired at this point of seeing shorts devolve into nothing but wagyu steaks
me: yo that looks so good
also me: I will still not drink coffee
Get a Jura, press a button and voila! But I agree most coffee beans suck! You need to have a subscription and get the coffee sent to you every month.
"Gross, sad and flat out bad" bro just described me in 6 words 😭😭😭😭😭
Coffee is Coffee, it does what I want it to do and that's all.
That's like saying video games are video games
There's a huge difference between instant coffee and properly fresh barista grade
It's a perishable like most food
@@Hirotoro4692 what happens to old coffee for enthusiasts? dumpster? it's still drinkable
someone I know vacuum pack his fresh grindings to single serve size, and just a drip filter when he wants a fresh coffee. It was so good can smell the aroma very distinctly.
I'm glad that they both look the same to me.
I don't even like coffee, but watching your espresso prep and methodology is oddly satisfying and relaxing.
bro wants to be pinned so hard 💀
"All of that -effort- money that you put in will finally pay off."
money can buy you a good coffee, but it won't buy you the knowledge and technique required to make one yourself... that takes effort... effort to learn.
@tjksvids needs money to learn though.
Me with my instant coffee in my hand watching this like: 👁️👄👁️ damn
I hardly notice the roast dade anymore, since i started intravenously taking my coffee.
Right, cause you’d buy an entire espresso bar for your home before learning about fresh roasted coffee. 😑
You overestimate people. Some folks are so bad they would use old pre-ground coffee, forget about fresh ground, let alone fresh roasted.
