when I went to New York I started talking to the dude at the pizza place in Spanish and he also gave me a slice for free. I'm telling you you guys, being bilingual has its benefits.

I spoke spanish like a good kind gentleman at a pizzeria place near macys. i bought food there and the man kindly told me in spanish if i wanted seconds for FREE. i was amazed and said yes. we started talking about the game of soccer and all random shit. it was the best.

Yes, when you are open, and and kind, as you seem to be, you can find great things everywhere. In NYC, I once went to get keys made. The gentleman would not cut the keys until I tried his perfectly ripe mango. Then he gave me 4 for the price of 2. I had not asked for anything. I was just polite, and he was, clearly, an nice guy.

White Vans Inc. Well.. My mom would totally shock them to be honest. Even Mexicans that came to our restaurant were shocked on how well my mom speaks spanish. Just that her temper ain't so good, but she could definitely start a full on Spanish conversation, and we are Chinese.

Meanwhile I'm in Florida with the rudest people ever 😭 I went to Times Square over the summer (about 2 months ago) and I loved the vibe!! The walking, crossing streets super fast before cars come haha, the REALLY CHEAP food, street vendors. Ughh I miss it so much. The street vendors and stores reminded me of my childhood in Haiti, everyone trying to sell you stuff on the street 😂 when I'm able to, I plan on going to New York all the time!! Maybe even get a place there. It's amazing
