In the days pre-bottled water it was okay to go into one of the smaller restaurants and ask them for a glass of water. Trouble was I always asked my dad to come with me. And he'd refuse because he wanted me to be able to ask for myself. Cut to now I'm more than okay speaking up whenever the situation demands it.
