Yep, definitely took quite a while, over the years I've learnt that these mashups need both quick improvising on the spot and patient planning. Your decade one was pretty good by the way, I'd just say maybe find that relationship between shot, editing and music a little more so they really compliment each other to the max but really great start :)
Practice, planning and patience, I'd say a nice mixture of knowing exactly what to do before I start the edit then also instinctively figuring things out as I go along :)
2019 has maybe been the best year for film ever.
