The score in Oppenheimer really describes inside Robert’s mind and conscience as his character develops toward the end. Beautiful representation on how Nolan tries this angle. Agreed with your point where this film is for him.
Yes it was one of the most difficult movies I have ever watched but yet I loved it, Its not for everyone, people who watch movies for just entertainment and pastime can ignore it
You say Oppenheimer is one for Nolan himself but it's been one of his most successful films so far - can't it be a movie for him AND the audience? Just because a film might be "difficult" in some aspects doesn't necessarily mean it's unenjoyable to watch.
I could be wrong but I think what they are trying to say is that the film it’s it’s not necessarily an easy watch it being 3 hours and kinda a slow paced film but the movie doesn’t hold your hand as much say his other work or most other movies that have made this much at the box office there are many times he could have made this movie an “easier to watch movie “but he didn’t and it made the movie better because of it
@@jus1062 maybe, but for me personally, I found this movie easier to understand than Interstellar or Inception even though those movies were supposedly for "the audience" rather than himself
@@84paratize yeah I agree with you on that I think they are just trying to say that in this movie he made the movie he wanted to see not the movie he thought the audience wanted to see I thank a good example of this is the black and white 70mm imax (that didn’t exist until this movie) but it was that important to him if they would have done it on normal black and white imax no one would have felt like something was missing except for him and yet here we are as someone who has seen it like that it’s incredible and worth it but yeah I feel like he did that because that’s what he wanted not because he thought the audience would enjoy it that much more
I didn't struggle with Oppenheimer at all. This was 'one for us' in my opinion, really emotive and thought provoking. Compared to Tenet where I did struggle 😂
I thought the movie was awesome, yet I disagreed with almost all of your points. The beauty of filmmaking am I right? You've earned yourself another subscriber
Hey man, are you going to make a video on Ahsoka? I found it to be a not very good show unfortunately but am interested what you think of it....take care
Honestly, watching Oppenheimer was just exhausting. Technically it's great and sure, it'll win some Oscars. But the movie was straight up neither enjoyable nor entertaining.

He makes films for filmmakers obviously, he couldn't care less if the average filmgoer enjoys it or not.

Nolan hasn't made a worthwhile movie since Interstellar
They're all worthwhile. What is your standard?
One of his weaker films, I thought.
