There is so much that I did not know about World War II. This is a true story. I did not know that World War II had electric guitars. I did not know that in World War II the landline might be the only thing in the entire field so you get it get out and walk. I did not know that in World War II if you had a 50 caliber machine gun on top of your armored vehicle that you could hit a slow moving canvas and covered truck, boo who knew
I agree the music could be more thoughtful. Like when the first time the little girl was alone, before she killed the prisoner, there was an opportunity to create some great music that could have given this movie more soul.

Why should Bobby untie the girl? Because he is useless as he fired 200 rounds from the M-60 at 20 yards from the truck and couldn't hit it but once. Then the cannon missed three times by a mile. A kid with a rock could have hit the truck!
At the range they missed with the cannon they would have been peeling spuds in the kitchen rather than going on a covert mission. you wouldn't waste that much ammo and no return fire seriously
I started to watch this movie but had to retreat faster than the French army and surrender. But you know what would be comedy gold? Sitting and watching this movie with General Patton and listening to him cut it down. LOL

We would sit up on the all night movies on a Friday or Saturday night and watch Old War movies. And he would point out the facts verses the BS. He did two tours in Korea and two tours in Vietnam. I think of him every day.

I could not help but notice a lot of the guns were percussion cap and ball instead of flintlock. Amazing since percussion cap and ball was not invented until the 1820's. LOL Can't recall the title of the movie. But watched a WW2 film where either the German or Japanese army was outfitted with M1 Garands.
@ZaneDeskins , I had 2 uncles one army one in Marines, both infantry. The army was in both Korea and Nam and the Marine in Korea. Don't know what unit the army uncle was in. Maybe your dad on slim chance knew him.

In the military, a soldier's just liked his damned weaponry gun. As long as it usable than you couldn't lose it bcoz you mean nothing's without the any weapon's. You live your life by used the surrounding situation. Remember! The gun's can be replaced or changed even screwed it depends on the order.
THIS MOVIE IS SO BAD ON SO MANY LEVELS I gave it a twenty min chance which in this case is going beyond a decent chance.. Problem is that I will never get those min back

That was an M-2 .50 cal. The M-60 was a Vietnam era weapon.
