Thank’s dr. Essam, we are pleased with the ABC’s of files which gives us the first step of understanding what we dealing with and even when to engage one of them, i strongly recommend proceeding with the ABC’s step by step to the end of last branch, by demonstration ( tip, taper and cross shape of files ). A1. Rotary files differ in terms of their design & required motion. very broad topic to discuss here. if you could specify I would be happy to answer you. One example would be the required reverse helix in files used in reciprocation motion at any angles.
A2. Helix angle is between the long axis of the file & the cutting edge. Landed files like GT & Profiles have a projecting axial surface from the file long axis which makes them passive files with NO screwing effect.
A3. As long as the cutting tip has an acute angle as possible we should be safe. The distinction between all types should not be a problem with experienced operators; however, in very narrow canals with curvature, they could be destructive when excessive apical pressure is applied..

When l was at college they learn me to use non cutting tip rotary files and cutting tip files use in case of retreatment .

الفايل الستانلس ستيل اثناء استخدامه داخل القناة وتحت ضغط الاستخدام يحاول ان يصبح straight.. لذلك عند منطقة الانحناء يشكل حركة برد مشابه للكوع .. ولهذا سمي بذلك الاسم
طيب والفرق مابين ال martenisitic وال Austinitic يا دكتور لوسمحت؟؟
