Been looking into these shorter and wider paddles as they have a better sweet spot than the hybrid and elongated shapes. Thanks for comparing these 3 paddles!
The Volair Mach 2 Forza looks very promising as well as the others on this list and would be my pick on this list. The only downside on the CRBN 2X that would take adjusting for me and puts it slightly under the Volair would be the shorter handle but overall, all three look like great options!
I really like how straightforward your videos are. Nothing beats actually trying a paddle, but it's nice to get the low down on a few to help narrow your search. I like the standard shape. My current paddle is the Joola Solaire but I'm looking for something a little lighter and less poppy so these look like possible options. Thanks.
Thanks for your informative video. I would love to get my hands on that crbn paddle. Sounds like a winner. Please enter my name in your giveaway. Thanks
I am relatively new to the game and my first paddles were elongated. I have since started playing with the hybrid shaped paddle and like it a lot. I have heard great things about the Volair paddle so now that you explain the positives about the Crbn it interests me. Thanks for the explanation.
I have added a previous comment, but lately I’ve been using power paddles for for more finesse and placement, I’ve watched a lot of the videos and reviews at the moment I am favouring the Volair Mach 2 Forsa 16mm.
I’m paying more attention to swing weight and twist weight now, so I appreciate the content! Do you have an extensive list with twist and swing weights??
I made a Google Sheet workbook that includes the big 4 paddle reviewer datasets: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1jPJ0OV_xUtkTbYDqMIAr7AAwpaVPQNtLMm8p_QFSXVU/edit?usp=sharing
There is rough correlation between twist weight and sweet spot, but to say that twist weight is the metric used to quantify sweet spot is an oversimplification. A higher twist weight makes a paddle more STABLE, as it resists twisting, but does not necessarily indicate anything about the sweet spot. You can have a paddle with a super high twist weight with a non existant sweet spot, due to poor quality or odd shape.
Mike and Deb, I completely understand. As stated in the beginning of the video I certainly am no professional so unfortunately my channel may not be the best for you if that’s very important to you, which I get! I do plan on implementing gameplay footage in the future however only when it can seamlessly be incorporated into videos without adding unnecessary length and a massive step down in video quality. I appreciate your feedback, support, and best of luck for the giveaway!
great review! been looking to try out the CRBN paddles for a while. I see a lot of tennis players gravitating to this and able to maintain their tennis strokes.
I haven't been playing for too long, consistently for about 6 months; but, I have been playing pickleball up until recently with a 25$ paddle and just switched over to a Joola hyperion to increase my skills. I am, at the moment, deciding whether to go from the hyperion to either the: double black diamond, crbn2x, or the bread n butter loco. I am a player that love a good curve shot and interested in what paddloe I shoulod go for next?
I think you should check out the Loco review I created. It’s a great control paddle with very good spin. Don’t let the ratings fool you it’s an exceptional control paddle and does everything quite well. I will also throw in the sword and shield j2 as a great option as well
I would recommend revamping your rating system. If you rated paddles from 0 to 10 with a Franklin wooden paddle having 1/10 across-the-board for spin power and pop, and every other high-quality paddle going up from there, it would highlight the differences in paddles in a greater way.
Love your videos. Straight to the point and perfect for a beginner like me! Also love that I don’t have to block out 10+ minutes if I want some information on paddles lol. Not to mention you’re editing is top notch 👌🏽
Are they all 16mm in your comparison? (I see the Forza & CRBN come in 14 as well, but since you’re talking highest twist weight I’m guessing you’re looking at the 16mm versions.)
YT just recommended this, and I didn't notice the date at first. :) Anyway, the J3 is currently on a "super sale" at $99. It was on one a month or so ago, too, so checking periodically can help you find the savings. (AFAIK, however, codes don't work on the sale--I tried!)
I'm digging the video and the channel. I'm new to the game and have been binge watching videos to absorb info on how to up my game and which paddle I should invest in to match my play style.
Been enjoying your videos. I'm a new player still on an entry model paddle, but have enjoyed learning more from you, and would love to get to try one :)
But is the sword and shield a good competitor? Was it that different than the others? I actually placed an order for this paddle about a week ago just waiting for it to ship.
While I agree it’s a very forgiving paddle it shares almost the exact same specs as the J3 and is $100 more expensive. The J3 has a slightly higher twist
Thanks man! They are definitely good paddles! The 2x is pretty much in a league of its own in terms of forgiveness but every paddle on this list is worth playing with and will not disappoint
I need to do a lot more research on the twist weight. This video is great to help me get started! I appreciate the video. Also, your videography on Instagram and other TH-cam videos is great!
$80 on OfferUp crbn 2x..in great shape used…lady did not do her research on pricing…she said 80 I said sold…I like it better than the Halo

Great review, works love to add CRBN 2X to my CRBN collection, they make great paddles!
Great straightforward video. All great paddles and good rundown of what makes them the most forgiving.
Right to the point. I haven’t used a paddle with a handle that short. Sounds like it might be fun.
I love my J3! Everything about it is amazing.
I am relatively new to the game and my first paddles were elongated. I have since started playing with the hybrid shaped paddle and like it a lot. I have heard great things about the Volair paddle so now that you explain the positives about the Crbn it interests me. Thanks for the explanation.
I find these videos very helpful as I research my own paddle upgrades! Thanks for putting them out!

Of the 3 I think it has the best performance and has virtually no downsides
Appreciate your review, looking forward to trying a CRBN for the first time!
Crbn paddles just have a great look to them . Love the standard shape paddles these days
I would love to try the CRBN 2X paddle. :)
Happy New Years everyone and good luck!
I’m paying more attention to swing weight and twist weight now, so I appreciate the content! Do you have an extensive list with twist and swing weights??
I do not but pickleball effect, John Kew Pickleball, and pickleball studio all have extensive lists
I made a Google Sheet workbook that includes the big 4 paddle reviewer datasets: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1jPJ0OV_xUtkTbYDqMIAr7AAwpaVPQNtLMm8p_QFSXVU/edit?usp=sharing
Would love to try the CRBN paddle. Been using a Ronbus, then gruvn

This year is gonna be a great year for new paddles!
I like to see a playing comparison between all three paddles. Impressions from a non-biased player professional preferred

I would really benefit from that CRBN 2X what an amazing sweet spot!
Great review! I am looking forward to getting a new paddle as I progress and this definitely has gotten some of my thoughts.
great review! been looking to try out the CRBN paddles for a while. I see a lot of tennis players gravitating to this and able to maintain their tennis strokes.
Love pickleball! I'm working on my control and am considering some of these paddles! Giveaway!
What is the swingweight on the j3?
Mine was 115
Here for the giveaway but I do enjoy good theme music 😮
I’ve never used a CRBN paddle and would love to try it.

Just a beginner starting out😮would love to get a good start with the paddle!

Correct I should’ve designated the 2x as 16mm but yes all of these paddles are in the 16mm version.
I’m interested in the Mach 2 but that CRBN looks like it could change my mind!!!
Good video, love to try the CRBN. Now I’m using the Legacy Pro and waiting for a Six Zero DBD on the way
Commenting for the giveaway! Would love to win the CRBN as I am in the market for a new paddle. Great content btw!
Awesome. I’d like to be entered as well!
Thank you! I have been researching large sweet spot paddles. Your video really helps.
Need to try out a crbn paddle
YT just recommended this, and I didn't notice the date at first. :)

Great review, I'm looking to move from elongated paddles and this video was exactly what I was looking for, thanks!
I bring a 1-handed backhand over from tennis so a the CRBN would be just perfect 😍
Nice video! I’m really interested in this paddle as I got an opportunity to play friend’s CRBN 2X recently.
I prefer the wide body as well.
As a novice pickleball player, this video really helped me understand what I should be looking for in a paddle. Thank you for sharing!
Man i would LOVE to get my hands on a CRBN 2X!! count me in!
I enjoy your videos as I am looking for alternatives to my current paddle The CRBN 2X is one I hope to at least try out. Thanks.
I had the regular CRBN2 a few years ago and liked it
Agreed! I always chose a wide body/hybrid over elongated. - Stable
Congrats! You have won the CRBN 2X giveaway!!! Please email me at pickleballpursuit@gmail.com to learn how to claim your free paddle!!
Enjoyed your video but I don’t have instagram to finish for the drawing
On the paddles under 100 I liked how you added an in-depth rating on the description, could we get something similar as I felt it was helpful for me
Sure I’ll add that shortly
Done 🤙🏼
Thanks for the giveaway! I think we could all use a bit more forgiveness!
Amazing review, would love to see more in the future.
I'm digging the video and the channel. I'm new to the game and have been binge watching videos to absorb info on how to up my game and which paddle I should invest in to match my play style.
Great info. I’m kinda new to pickleball, I would love to one of these paddles. $$$😊
Crbn power series is the way to go
Been enjoying your videos. I'm a new player still on an entry model paddle, but have enjoyed learning more from you, and would love to get to try one :)
I've been just getting into pickleball and your videos have been such a help when looking for a paddle. Would love to try a CRBN paddle!
Awesome to hear!! Thanks for the support!
Gonna have to give these a try.
Would have thought that the volair forza mach 2 would take the number 1 spot. It has everything you need in a control oriented paddle.
Keep in mind, this is only ranking them on forgiveness not control 👍
Volair🎉❤
But is the sword and shield a good competitor? Was it that different than the others? I actually placed an order for this paddle about a week ago just waiting for it to ship.
Yes, all 3 of these paddles are very good performers and I’d highly recommend them all
Nice video. Please put me in the giveaway.
Hey, I’ve gone one step further and subscribed to your channel. Please send either one of the CRBN or the Forza. Thanks.
I’ve never used a CRBN paddle and would love to try this one!
Having a paddle with a larger sweet spot is nice since my reaction time isn’t the best so the forgiveness helps to compensate for that 🙏🏽
Nice video been looking for something with a large sweet spot.
Great review!
Great information. Please enter me for the giveaway.
Great videos, very good information
The Joola Scorpeus should be in your list. It is very forgiving and can be used for different levels.
While I agree it’s a very forgiving paddle it shares almost the exact same specs as the J3 and is $100 more expensive. The J3 has a slightly higher twist
I would love to try the CRBN paddle!
Great video! Never gotten to play much with a CRBN. Love that you have these giveaways!
Thanks man! They are definitely good paddles! The 2x is pretty much in a league of its own in terms of forgiveness but every paddle on this list is worth playing with and will not disappoint
great video production quality!
Thank you!
Resets is where its @ 🤙 Keep up the great reviews.
Nice video. I am new to pickleball and I don't think I saw a video like this on youtube. Thanks.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for the feedback
I need to do a lot more research on the twist weight. This video is great to help me get started! I appreciate the video. Also, your videography on Instagram and other TH-cam videos is great!
Thanks so much!
Great tips
Expecting stranger things kids to popout.
This would be awesome for me to use!
Love CRBN paddles!
Love the video
love me a wide body paddle!
