Once upon a time I really wanted the YsL loulou puffer. But at the time it was about $2400.00. So instead I bought the RM Edie Maxi bag because it was only $400.00. Well at the $400.00 price point I went on to purchase 7 RM Edie maxi. I bought the black with black hardware, black with mixed metal hardware, Emerald green, burgundy, Military, Carmello,Grey and ivory. Well after all that I could have just bought the YSL. And even after all that you know what I did??????. Yep I bought the YSL medium loulou in taupe, and the YSL medium puffer in black. The YSL bags are by far superior to the RM bags, as it should be given the YSL is $2000.00 more than the RM. However I don't always need to carry a $3000.00 bag. And during those times I carry my RM bag or another I don't mind taking my RM to just run Saturday errands, or even into a skilled nursing facility for a meeting. But I would never take any of my luxury bags out for the purpose just to run errands and I wouldn't ever consider taking loulou into a skilled nursing facility with the hebee geebees running loose. So every bag has its place and it's purpose. Sometimes they can overlap and that's fine. So I think you need both. I know I do....

The quality of the YSL bags is simply amazing but the RM bag is an option for those who don’t want to spend over 3K now for the YSL medium Lou Lou bag. No, not the same but it is a nice cheaper bag. Thanks for commenting. It is greatly appreciated. 😊
The YSL Medium Lou Lou is is the best in my opinion. The leather is soft, yet durable and you can dress it up or down. I love my Lou Lou. Even though I returned it 5 times for minor imperfections, it’s my favorite. 😊 Thanks for watching, commenting, and subscribing! It is greatly appreciated.
I love my Edie Maxie Flap Shoulder bag. Mine has a matching interior so not sure why the smaller one didn’t. I wasn’t impressed with the YSL LouLou in any size and went with a YSL Nikki in Medium black with black hardware. It’s gorgeous, roomy, and more my style. Expensive though! I met Rebecca Minkoff years ago at one of her public sales and she’s a really nice person. I prefer to support the smaller contemporary designers whenever possible,provided I like their items. I do have several LV bags but honestly, they’re just getting too expensive anymore. Like you expressed, however, every bag has its purpose! Actually, the YSL medium Lou Lou is calfskin. The YSL college bag is lambskin. Both are excellent quality bags! Regardless of the brands, I choose quality. 😊
The YSL would definitely be my choice.. but out of my budget, so I purchased the Rebecca Minkoff Edie Flap based on your side by side comparison to the Edie Crossbody a few days ago, lol*

I actually have the ysl bag I love it the leather is nothing compared to the RM I guess it’s about preference. Both are nice but I prefer the YSL ❤
