@@Smlfanjeffy4the Astro dome is an iconic symbol to Houston Texas, it was used for many decades until it was abandoned due to the NRG stadium right next by, and the Astros ball park in Down town Houston

Ohhh after Katrina hurricane, this was surely a sore to know that it has abandoned!!! This one saved a lot of people from Katrina’s terror.
I do hope the people have some kind of a revitalization idea and reuse this building. Maybe call Joanne and Chip to create this building into something like a compartments?
It’s very complicated. This dome has been a part of Houston for so long and is cherished by so many people, nobody can decide what to do with it. Following the demolition of Six Flags Astroworld and the construction of Reliant Stadium (Now NRG Stadium) the dome has no use. The Astros have since moved stadiums leaving this relic once known as “The Eighth Wonder of the World,” to sit and rot and slowly become a testament to the past. It’s actually quite sad.

Would it be possible to find a way to convince the Houston to allow public buyer to buy it and convert this into apartments or condos for people to be able to live it? Maybe Veterans

I think you're thinking of the Superdome, which is still in use today for Concerts and is still the home of the New Orleans Saints.

My Mom got 2 of the chairs for Christmas one year. Old memories for my family. Astros and HLS&R.🤠 I pray it stays.
A landmark in Houston, TX…go Astros and the old Houston Oilers football team. I hope it get repurposed.

Fond memories of going to astros day games on my days off work...just me, a beer and peanuts up in the nose bleeds. Of course i could have snuck down to field seats sometimes but i never did. I actually liked the cheap seats
This is sad. The 'Dome was such a big part of my childhood. Watching the Astros and/or the Oilers was huge to me. Either redevelop the Astrodome, or tear it down (hopefully the first choice).
They can’t tear it down as it’s marked as historic by the historical society

I remember going into the Astrodome when I was like 25-30 years old.
So many memories
Whoever shut down this place needs to be locked up. Not only did they neglect Houston’s greatest architectural wonder, but they caused the collapse of other great attractions around it, like Astroworld…

Still looks like it can be renovated. Electrical and plumbing can be upgraded. This place is sacred
A shame. It can be repurposed for just about anything. No need to just let it grow mold and rot. Imagine how dank it must be in there.

Okay this is cool but really, you got in the Astrodome and this is the only thing you have? I would have had to find the Astros locker room, The Oilers Locker room, the Press Box, the control room. I should have spent the day there exploring the innerworkings where no one would see you. There so many things in the dome and this is all you have??? Behind the stands there are miles and miles of concourses, Concessions, suites and the Skyboxes......Please tell me you have more.
