I bought a set of these for my Peavey wolfgang signature hardtail, as the standard ones were too hot and furry on a clean setting, the luthier who installed them had to rout the body as they are hard-mounted in to it and there are no pick up rings on this guitar. When said luthier plugged it in and played it for two, (2) minutes they went immediately to the site and ordered a set. The sound of this instrument now is amazing and when coil-tapped increases the versatility by some margin. I intend to put another set in my '88 lester, they're that good. If any one has any doubts about purchasing these, rest assured they're worth every cent.
The beast pick ups being hotter then the clone paf are they both the same to manage unpotted ? I'm asking from an inexperienced stand point i have never played unpotted pick up. I use a george benson hot rod deluxe amp Jazz so it's super clean

Sounds amazing!! They really don't seem to sound like vintage PAF'S to me, but they just sound great in that guitar!!
