[Spoilers] Every hint/direct connection between Xenoblade Chronicles and Xenoblade Chronicles 2

- We're all hyped for Xenoblade Chronicles 3! If anyone reading has not, PLAY THIS SERIES, it is incredible. The original game is my favourite of all time, and every game is worth your time.
By the way, I know some might mention the possibility (more like probability) that Xenoblade Chronicles X has its place in all this, and I definitely agree. I would also like to mention that being an AI of the Trinity Processor does not mean being an Aegis, as that refers to the Blade form of Pneuma and Logos A.K.A. Pyra/Mythra and Malos. As Alvis had left Klaus long before Blades were created, Alvis is not an Aegis nor is he a Blade that resonates with people. This is a common misunderstanding within the community that I would like to aid in clearing up. - เกม
Another hint is when both Rex and Shulk were being revived from the dead

@@El_Surge You could say that for Mythra’s Foresight as well. Why was it in XC2 other than for gameplay purposes? It wasn’t a part of the story other than for dodging attacks in combat scenes.
@@NaviNeku24 It wasn't used in gameplay though. But it was a hint given that foresight in Xenoblade is a reading of the ether flow, so there was a clear connection.
But I guess that the workings of the monados were missing too, like how it makes things real out of ether, for a lack of better words (XC1 Monado and XC2 Pneuma sword do that same thing).
Nice video, those two games are what my life is all about now. I love them both equally. And seeing the connections again through this very nice video was very great, so thank you.

A video on all the connections now that XC3 is out would probably be like half an hour long.
For a long time, people have been a bit confused about Zanza's physical relationship to Klaus. Because it seemed weird that Klaus took a good amount of time longer to disappear. Also because one has a full form while the other does not, which made little sense anyhow because Zanza isn't even a physical being at all, he's even internally classed as an Aberration for gameplay-purposes.(and these destinctions 90+% of the time coincide with lore)
However, I recently got a brainwave thinking about it and it solved the inconsistency/mystery entirely. Zanza DOES have a physical body: The Bionis. And what is shown to still largely be intact (only slowly falling apart) for a few minutes after his death similar to Klaus? The Bionis.

I had no clue that Alvis was the third Aegis… for lack of a better term
It wasn't established until the Definitive Edition. In the original Xenoblade, Alvis wore a key choker instead of the red Aegis Core Crystal Choker, making the connection implication he is the lost 3rd Aegis being Ontos.
I remember noticing how his necklace looks like a core crystal but I thought I was just a neat reference, not like actual game related plot
They did it to better solidify the two series

@@XenoJaedI feel like the implications and wording in 2 are enough for it to have been established in 2. Obviously Definitive Edition really drove it home. But I think that was the intention in 2.
There's also the similarity in final boss designs - covered eyes with a visible lower face, as well as two distinct halves - plus they way they both are killed.
I feel nostalgic of when I played XC2 for the first time. The moment Malos used monado eater and armor gave me goosebumps

It seems Logos can't, but at the same time Pneuma can't use monado arts. Also, Alvis isn't an Aegis
@@El_Surge We only saw Logos (Malos) with his full power for a short time, so maybe he can but we never got the time to see him using foresight. You say Alvis isn't an Aegis, but that's not quite true, if he didn't escape into XC1 world and if his core crystal (Ontos) was awakened he would be an Aegis. So he definitely has similar powers, if not greater, than Logos and Pneuma.
Also, visions in XC1 work because the whole world is made out of ether, and the Monado (Alvis) has full awareness of the flow of ether and thus, the future of everything. In XC2, ether doesn't make the whole world, only living beings, so that's why foresight is less powerful than visions and also why it only tracks the future of living beings (you can clearly see it in the cutscene, only Malos and Akhos are highlighted)
Yeah he can technically become an aegis but he disappeared before Klaus nerfed the processors so..... He can be but he isn't
The difference is big enough that they deserve different names
@@themiddlecaterpillar8350 lmao and that core for show ? got it from walmart want hints other then the perfectly shaped core that was a key before the xeno2 after xeno 2 came it became a aiges core ok ok the architect said ontos disapeared in a transation experement and got to an other place alvis said the same thing about himself ok ok malos and alvis have both monados ok ok tons of reasons and there is no other confirmation that they literly chnaged his key to a aiges core after second game
@@mohamedfr6456 He meant that Alvis is Ontos, but didn't become an Aegis like Pnuema and Logos. He became the god, Monado.
It's crazy to compare XC1's to XC2's interpretation of the Experiment. Like, there's no competition.
I hope they were building up into a majestic third entry

Direct hints: They are in the same series
Many years hence (in the year 2017), it was kept a secret and treated as a subtle and special reveal until the end of XC2. I made this for fun to recapture the feeling of that reveal in anticipation for the newly revealed XC3
The hype of getting a xenoblade announcement at the end of a direct, and then seeing a masked Nia and melia was absolutely unrivaled

Quick question, which one is stronger? Alvis (ontos) or Pyra/Mythra (Pneuma)? From my POV, they both are really OP. And i think the results are draw.
Fun question! Alvis is definitely more powerful. To put it simply he has grown very close with the conduit, he knows how to harness it and essentially make its power his own. Mythra and malos arent as strong since, like shulk zanza and meyneth borrowing from alvis in xc1, they are only borrowing the conduit's power through their monados (yes pneuma's green sword is a monado considering it's design and function)
