lol. I was so worried about accidentally hitting sell
I was trying to sell off "recently acquired" junk from 12-3 or sumthin, hit sell and select all (rarity or something) and for a brief moment I thought I sold all the shields I owned, and for a minute I sat there contemplating what could be done, and how much that would suck. Then I deselected the filter and my other shields showed back up, but I was definitely sweating for a few moments!
I gotta say that this is probably the single most useful video I have seen in 3 years of playing and following 6-8 CC's on a daily basis. I have referred back to this post umpteen times in the last 4 months. Kudos to you, MTG Jedi and THANKS!!

Dude, I have been waiting for this video since I started playing 3 years ago. THANK YOU!! I have Lydia and I am around level 9, although I still have a fair bit of 5* lego gear (sort of skipped step 6), and I should actually be at level 10. The only reason I'm at level 9 is because of an earlier gear cleanse video that YOU put out (and I literally typed out your tips and saved them). This video simplifies things immensely, and I really love the infographics on your website as well. Can't wait for the accessory video to go with this. I'm moving to level 10 right now. Thanks again! 🤘
I really liked this way of breaking things down, it makes a lot of sense. I would say I'm moving into the 8-9 level range (wish I was at 10 but don't have enough gear yet).
Thank you for doing these gear cleansing videos the past few days! I'm a year into the game and was just holding onto stuff "just in case". Watching your livestreams and these vids made me realize I'm never gonna use them so I went from 978 gear items to 345, but I'm not done yet. Looking to see where those substats are gonna look like when I level them up! Thank you, again!
Great video - as several already mentioned this is a different way off viewing a gear cleanse, and helps clarify 'levels'

I am at level 7 I think on artifacts and level 10 on accessories. It was a hard process learning to sell gear without speed, then moving up to now selling 0 or only 1 speed roll. My standards are now 2 speed rolls or it's sold!

I recently did a massive gear cleans and spent this free gear exchange mostly rebuilding almost all my champs and making some faction wars farmers. I consider my account and champs the be pretty damn good but damn, it knocked some of my runs down front 2 to 3 minutes down to 1 minute runs, even a few sub 1 runs. Glad this video is out there and everyone should be looking through their gear after thia because you don't know how much potential there is.

Great video MTGJ. I'd consider myself late game, knocking on end game. I've never heard gear cleanse presented this way and it was super helpful. I have had Lydia for a few years and kept holding onto 5 star thinking I'll use that some day-but never do. I cleansed almost all 5* across the standard gear sets and selectively across the new hear, and let me tell you itI feels like I just got out of the shower and put on a clean pair of underwear. Nothing better!!! Thanks for pushing me over the edge. As a bonus I am now about 40m silver richer.
Well explained! I've been playing for 23 months now and got Lydia yesterday. I only managed this because I regularly cleaned out bad artifacts. On average, I have around 400 unused artifacts... Oh yes, I have to say, I play 100% free to play
This is some good advice and exactly the way I do it. :). My gear is at level 11 with some crap items on seldom used or faction wars champs.
I made/make exceptions for DT secret rooms and Sintranos

I think the only 5 star gear I have left is either accessories or small number of gear that has some decent rolls, such as triple speed, crit rate, or crit dmg. Started just selling blue gear as well, even if 6 star, due to space. For rings, I think I sold anything with flat substats, unless a legendary ring of course, since at least 1 substat is always going to be a flat stat. For rare 6 star rings, I try to only keep ones with substats that fit the main stat. Such as HP ring with HP% substat. Preferably DEF% substat with the HP rings or HP% + DEF% substats for DEF rings. ATK amulets I barely keep, UNLESS the faction has a bomb champ I have that needs it.
I need to go through my gear again though. Currently at:
Accessories: 1,488/1,500
Artifacts: 1,452/1,500

You forget the number of gear pieces you have! It's important to keep enough to complete the gear leveling events for the fusion. Only do this if you know you have enough to complete it, if you are pursuing the fusion.

I am probably a 7-8. I do most of my artifact training just gearing 2-3 champs or regearing. I definitely do not need to be keeping 1500 pieces and every fusion I end up with artifact overflow just because I am doing dungeons so much, so yeah, I definitely need to do more mass cleanses. I started to sell lots of gear in sets I barely use or do not use. I used to keep some off pieces but the truth is that I have so many pieces that selling all 5* for example probably would not hurt my gearing at all. I do keep some 5* with double or triple desirable rolls in gloves and boots.
But I love the gear levels for the account. I mostly go with how much gear I still have. Over 2/3 of my gear is 6* and mostly 6* epic and higher, which helps with selling the 5* since I still have so much 6* gear.
I can see where, as you said, people need to be mindful of how many champs they still need to gear and how much gear they would have left. Before I do one of these broad gear cleanses, I have already sold most of the new gear after checking them out, so that helps a lot.

Why is it when I re-roll gloves, chest or boots - the main stat does not change.....wtf is going on now. I remember them changing but now multiple 6* Leg-Mythic pieces Do Not Change main stat!!! Help plzzzz
level 11 - Spinal Tap lol. I've been selling lvl 5 rare since before I got Lydia but I still look at epic lvl 5 as I'm only interested in x3 rolls in stats now, as I felt this was the only way to progress my account. For me to roll/keep lvl 5 epics and above, the gear must have 2 out of 3 sub-stats (appropriate to the set) worth having or I'll bin it, well that's my intention anyway. However, I'm also a hoarder, so I tend to find ways to keep hold of things that I know I should probably bin but think that it may be useful later. I need to gear cleanse, but I'm not always sure what to keep and what to sell. With all the recent additions to sets it's about time someone... ahem! you perhaps @Mtg.Jedi, could do an updated vid about each set and what main stat and sub-stats to keep, what ones' to throw away immediately, and what ones are worth rolling to see if it lands 2/3/4x rolls on a particular stat, even if the other stats are not good. I've been waiting for a recent vid on this for about 5/6 months now.

Great vid mate. I had maxed out my gear, so I downloaded Panda's gear list in RSL Helper and nuked my account. Made 180 million silver selling artifacts and accessories.
The only thing you’re missing in here is a s-f tier with each set in it ranked. Obviously the slide with the “don’t sell these specific sets” is a good indicator, but showing all sets in a graph ranked would help some people. Having a crit damage pair of gloves in curing set that had a double roll of crit rate but 2 flat stats should probably be a sell, but that same pair of gloves in a better set would be a keep. Went over a lot of good info would be cool to see a deep dive video on this concept though for players that need the info

wow today i was like where is the gear i just got found out there was a gear cap and looked up what i should do cuz ive felt kinda stuck for a while level 90 (with lydia) {farming most hard dungeons at 10} turns out, i sold 1267 peices of the 1500 gear i had
made 57 million silver

Got Lydia a week ago and went in game and hit 5 star blue and epic and hit sell all and was left with almost 1200 pieces definitely felt this was geared towards me 😂 but feel it was the right move no looking through and justifying legendary and mythical will be looked at for speed and crit rate
If i cloud i would sell all my gear but as f2p i dont have the energy to do dragon fire knight hard 10 hard for 100 000 runs

Honestly I think you are leaving out really good gear. Cruel, relentless, savage, reflex, guardian, lethal. Those should be on your list of 5* to not sell. (In my opinion)

I'm between Level 4 & 5, but I'm always hovering between 1400-1450 gear pieces. I have a hard time letting go of double speed roll or crit rate pieces. Many of my champs have 5 star pieces and I can't get 6 star pieces to replace them. I got Lydia 3 months ago, lol. You're definitely beating on me in this video...

Why is Lydia the key? I’ve had her for a while now like almost a year but I have a full inventory of gear and a full inbox of gear. I’ve got tons of 5* epic and legendary gear that I am hoarding…. Also muleing quite a number of pieces on vault lords.
Once you have Lydia you have enough gear to gear an account full of champs from each faction plus the timing of getting Lydia forces you to farm a bunch of gear
As F2P I have little 6 star gear so have to retain 5 star EPic's onwards.
Only 57 days in, I need all my 4 star gear rare and up, if not I dont have gear for my faction war teams....

The set I have the hardest time parting with is Relentless, because it was so rare to get it as I was leveling my account. Currently ~100 pieces of ungeared Relentless, even AFTER selling everything less than 6*, everything below Epic, and all flat-stat bottom row. All are rolled to at least 12. #IHaveaHoardingProblem
