Most of my gear except for some luxury items I purchased in the last two years all came out of the family estate when we had to sell, a lot of my camping gear basic necessities are hand me downs from my grandparents and parents. I’ve actually found that all the big ticket items that I purchased in the last two years to increase the comfort level have been a very low quality have broken or failed or did not perform as advertised. As you can see, we have an awning on the original batwing awning was destroyed by a frequent gust. The high end replacement awning that we purchased from a small US vendor was made of inferior materials, and in a very light wind, bent all the hinge brackets and backing plate and broke one of the support poles. So we no longer have an awning, when the tent is deployed on a trailer that does act as an awning for one side.
