what i always love about these backstreet streams are the random hidden small businesses tucked away somewhere that look like they managed to survive for at least 30 years for some reason

Hello Norm. I really enjoy your live streams. I usually have to catch the replays, but I am still grateful nonetheless that you share your adventures. I love the green areas that are tucked away. The ability of the Japanese to use every corner is so cool.
Your comment about the bag reminded me of “American Beauty”. There is a young guy who makes a similar comment in the movie.
Thanks for all the videos Norm.

The beginning story was an awesome story.
The ending bit about the food, you could always do what apparently everybody does and just eat with the viewers in your own way.
And regarding the middle, not going to lie as much as I love watching walk-about-videos, I'm more often than not because of youtube premium, just listening to the video whilst I do other stuff on the ol' iPad. 😁👍🏼

Commenting very late. Ended up watching this in 3 parts because of family life 😅 The timing of the stream was perfect, it was 8am here in Perth, Australia. We had a kids birthday to get to though, so I couldn't stay and enjoy it live.
I've loved seeing these streets though. It seems like a peaceful area. Can't wait to see more of that shrine and other features you visited!
While I think of it, as a coffee drinker coming to Japan, where would you recommend stopping for coffee on the go? (Please don't say Starbucks, we tried it in Melbourne and it was disappointing and gross 🤢). I have a feeling we'll be stopping at convenience stores a lot. 😂
Edited to add: I love your getting distracted and sharing amazing sights or cute houses. Child and I are ADHD and this is completely normal for us, as is random jumps in conversation topics. Makes me feel at home. 😊

Hello Norm! First time commenter here. I've been watching for awhile now on your main channel but only recently binge watched a lot of your older streams. Awesome stream btw... it was pretty neat to see some of those views and of those views my favorite has to be the one where you were standing on top of the stairs and the lady was hanging her laundry. I do have a question though, Someone on the stream asked what your top 5 places to go in Japan... What would be the top 5 for an aviation nerd and gaming nerd? (not so much arcade stuff like GiGO though) I originally found your channel awhile back when you posted the video Learning to fly in Japan. Ever since finding your channel I've been binge watched a ton of your videos. I cant wait for more of your aviation content! I am a huge plane nerd! My favorite plane right now probably is either the Saab J35 or the F-16C (War Thunder nerd lol). Ill try to comment more on your videos lol I never really comment on TH-cam. Sorry I packed a lot into one message! Anyways I hope you're having a great day and greetings from NC!

I am a little confused as my comment from earlier this day is no longer there... Has it been deleted for some reason? I wrote about the empty building at timecode nineteen minutes- fourtyone seconds. It is the former Agnes Hotel and Appartments Tokyo, whose informations can still be seen on Google Maps. It had a Banket Hall, a french Restaurant, a Bar and a Tea Lounge. I hope these informations are helpfull and wont disappear again. Please let me know if I violated any YT or other regulation if it happend to be so. And - I really enjoyed watching Your stream !

    RE: The Bacon War.
It is one thing to be passionate about something but to start a fight over it is another. People will like different types of bacon, ways to cook it, and how long you cook it where it is cooked but not crispy or full on crisp.
And to be mad over someone food take is just silly. I can understand being baffled by it because it might not make any sort of sense at all to you. I can respect someone passion, but I can't respect the outrage.
The rule with food it is only good if you like it. It doesn't matter what other people think of the food because if it doesn't jive with your taste buds it will never taste good at all.
