Awesome guide. You pretty much covered everything. Small note, but if you are taking the power rake damage perk, your highest damage, single target combo is light, heavy, heavy using either stance. You can even blend it with horde clearing using power stance and take out majoris or extremis that are mixed in.
best guide for this weapon, i saw a few other videos talking about the shield cancel tech and was confused why other guides didn't include it. Great job
@@Lyonatan Yeah I know what you mean, game hasn't been out very long to be fair so alot of people are just kind of jumping on the train of it. It kind of feels related to me with this newest patch. I feel like two weeks of life span is too short of a time for devs to roll out such a drastic difficulty altering patch that you CAN'T change for yourself as a player. My view is people need to learn the game and see if its actually for them before bullying devs to change the experience into something more 'convenient' for them. ranting ranting yada yada
I'm also enjoying the fencing power sword with all the perfect parry perks, so fun to play. I take one different weapon perk though, I don't grab that 10% chaos bonus and instead grab the 20% Terminus bonus at the end of the tree.
I decided to give a Block-specced power sword a shot earlier tonight, just to see if it could be made to work. And to be fair, the massive speed boost you get from Block can turn you into quite a tornado of doom. But losing out on perfect parries is ROUGH; it just lets big packs of Majoris enemies pound on you endlessly without giving you much opportunity to counter at all.
If u mess up your parry u can cancel it into a stance change, which u can cancel into a block. So if u parry too early, hold attack and then hold parry. Might not work on low fps.
any chance you could show me exactly what this looks like, it is possible I dont have high enough fps as you are saying, however the results I am getting are that you can act about as fast as just letting the parry animation go normally
There's another way to switch styles that involves shield bashing, basically if you hold melee to shield bash and release the block button with the correct timing, the game treats it as if you both bash and style switch at the same time, combine that with bulwark perks that buff shield bash and apply a dmg boost after it with the sword perk that applies another buff for style switching and go to town Clip for reference: th-cam.com/video/TdwlTzbc74o/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ZTjWVAVwPkHibOOY
Just Hold the Block, and as soon as you hold press the atack button, release the Block. You will do a Bash and your controller will vibrate and your sword stance will change . Ty for the tip @BaurzhanG
@irishcream677 that's exactly why I decided to make one myself, people just clickbait and get 50k views but then the video is them just reading the combos and somehow making that last 20+ minutes lol
@BIackSkillX it has not been changed you can still just hold the attack button while in the dodge/roll animation. there is another tech about just holding the attack to start the style switch and holding block to get the lunge attack faster you can see that on the 2nd part of my guide here th-cam.com/video/0AEll8aeSGQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=7L50xfHfQwFG_CEq

@@hieroglyph3027 thank you! I will absolutely try that, I really wish we had some damage numbers mod or something else to test

Cuz most guide makers are actually avarage at the game, recycling steam comments and reddit threads.

For Bulwark pve the best one I found is to note move forward (pressing w ) because it will prevent you for doing combos
its especially bad when you try to do a power whirl and accidentally get out of the stance by walking lol

Another tips is don't move forward while doing the attacks because the combo never happens. I feel like I forgot about that
very nice guide 👍👍
Useful guide thank you, subscribed
Awesome video brother! Thanks for sharing :)
For the life of me, I can't figure out how to switch power-modes while doing an sprint attack.
Was it changed? Any help? :(

If you use chaisword while playing bulwark consider yourself an opp
What is a power rake
It's a move of the power sword. Hot escape during the game to see how to do it.
They patched the animation cancel with the shield.. 🙄
