I am looking at buying a 2556. How does she handle 3 foot seas? Would you recommend it for a family fishing boat? Are you planing to do a walk though of your boat?
Hi Travis, welcome to my channel. If you are considering a 2556, my advice would be to go for the latest model year that you can afford, and depending on where you are based, a diesel engine. The worst sea conditions I have taken mine out in was about 3ft, and she coped well, although for this sea condition I would recommend using the inner helm and not the flybridge. Have a look at the start of the Mid Season Maintenance video for rough sea conditions. For a small family (2 adults, 2 kids) the 2556 is very comfortable, I live aboard mine and there is plenty of space. As for a walk through, yes, I will be doing one this winter, after some internal re-fit work that I have just started. Thanks for subscribing, I hope you enjoy the channel.
@@Cj032188 great to know there are others out there. As far as I know, the boat was built in 1989 and imported directly in to the UK by the Bayliner dealer, and has been on the south coast ever since.
Hopefully, this is the problem I am having, will see. thanks for posting
Hope it is the solution for you. If not, please feel free to contact me and I will be happy to help
@@the-tortuga-man Thank you! really appreciate your reply
