@@zeospark9715 and recently he just told jevon that it's ok when he botched the finish and told him he was great. Shows how much randy has changed as a person
Drew McIntyre did it this year in 2024, when Damien Priest botched his spot, trapping his leg in-between the upper 2 ropes, helplessly hanging upside, before Drew McIntyre broke character to help him, before quickly snapping back into character.
I love that moment. Drew freezes for a moment, looks to the ref, looks at Damien, figures out Damien is fine and is like ok, kick legs! Then he helps unwrap Damien from the ropes while kayfabing that he needs to get Damien back into the ring.
That should have been number two instead of Cena checking on Morrison. In fact Cena didn't even check on him, he just laid there for a second and rolled off of 'em. That was a dumb filler put in by Lamia. Becky rolling Kairi Sane under the ring should have definitely been at least number two.
To be fair, they _have_ to trust each other with their well-being in the ring, so that would naturally build a level of friendship and camaraderie between them. So naturally they'll want to check on an opponent who might be injured. Though Jericho is easily one of the safest guys to work the ring with, and someone you can count on to handle it if you're legitimately injured, like when he got pissed off at the ref for not realizing that Neville was injured (a broken ankle that cost him his first ever Wrestlemania match, it's heartbreaking seeing Neville's reaction when he asks the medic *"Is it broken?"* and the medic nods, Neville is visibly crushed because that's his "Wrestlemania moment" right out the window, he's more upset that he's going to miss Wrestlemania than he is that his ankle is broken). Jericho was even willing to get into a legitimate fight with *_LESNAR_* backstage when he though that Lesnar had intentionally injured Randy Orton, and Lesnar was a former MMA champion at that point, so Jericho likely would have lost such a fight badly, but he was still willing to throw down. So that's one reason why Jericho is someone I'd 100% trust to watch my back. This is why one of the factors that determines if someone gets to stay with WWE is if they are deemed "safe" in the ring or not, as if you're prone to injuring your opponent, then they're not going to keep you around, no matter how good of a performer you are. And even from a business/logistical standpoint, you won't want to keep someone around if they're likely to injure the other talent, because every star that's temporarily out of action due to injury will hurt your bottom line and cost you money (both from fans who might not show up if their favorite star is out with an injury, and from having to still pay an injured star's salary and likely also handle their medical expenses while they're out of action). This is one reason why Undertaker was so highly regarded, as he'd still go out and perform even if he was injured, like his (in)famous Hell In A Cell match with Mankind, as Undertaker went into that match with a _broken foot_ of all things, and _still_ finished the match.
That slow mo of Shawn Michaels with the moonsault to the table with the camera lights flashing is just beautiful to look at. Phone cameras are nice, but there is something with that flash from the old digital cameras that really makes something seem more magical.

in fact, almost every entry on this list, no one is "breaking character". It's just the wrestlers acting in a way so they can check on someone. Most of them are just normal looking movements close up so they can say something.
glad to see this, I was always so concerned letting the kids watch this and never wanted to see anyone REALLY get hurt or killed doing this high level stuff
These don’t really qualify as breaking character as they all hid what they were doing. A character break would be a very obvious and willful drop of the act. The closest I’ve seen to an actual break was a match between Austin and Angle in which Angle took a pile driver on the concrete. EMTs came out, Angle was put on a stretcher, and Austin is seen pacing back and forth, playing it off like he wanted to attack but the look on his face clearly said he was concerned.
Moondog Rex comes to mind in a tv tag team match the 80's WWF after a botched "shoulder breaker" to his opponent dumped him right on the top of his head...
Most of these aren't wrestlers breaking character, they are just wrestlers communicating during rest holds, pin falls or when they are both down like they always do regardless
I like these types of clips, but to be fair I'm only two moves in (LA Knight.) and he didn't break character either time. both check ups on Logan were "disguised" in the way he took the bump to be able to ask if he was good. great professionalism, but no character break.
Not one of these broke character. They literally hid their efforts to check on the opponent and stayed in character the entire time. This video is stupid and pointless
None of these are examples of breaking character. Mr. Kennedy running over to catch Hardy's botched whisper in the wind is more in tune with "breaking character." These are hardly any different than when wrestlers talk during a rest hold.
I can't recall if it was an episode of Raw or a PPV. Bubba Ray has talked about it there was a multi man match where Bubba Ray got a concussion and was walking around in a severe fog. Jericho is on the outside checking on him and giving him the instructions to finish the next spot. Jericho got Bubba tagged out and the pulled him down to from the apron for the rest of the match till he could get medical attention.
If you'll ever do a part 2 you can including Io Sky checking on Cora Jade during the NXT WarGames 2021 game where Cora popped out her shoulder after performing a swanton bomb through a table off the top of the cage.
I wouldn't necessarily call this breaking character. This is what they do. They also use signals to communicate like grabbing the other person's hand to let them know they're good. In all these spots if u didn't know what to look for then u wouldn't know.
What about Triple H at Wrestlemania 27? After his match with The Undertaker, it was obvious that The Undetaker was injured. Triple H got out of the ring and when he noticed that The Undertaker was having difficulty moving went back to check on him. The camera's microphone clearly caught the referee telling Triple H to got back to the locker room so not to break character.
There is a good one when Chyna was with kane against Hhh. She was shot in the face with a fire ball..Hhh ran back to her, ripped off his shirt to put on her face. He wasn't supposed to as he was supposed to be her enemy. Eventually kane pushed him out of the way and carried her out.

My favorite was Chris jercho pissed at the ref going, "he's hurt you idiot!"
Nothing should beat the Neville and Chris Jericho match. The ref didn't know about Neville's injury, so Chris found a genius way to end the match.
When Stone Cold Steve Austin landed on his head, Owen Hart then started yelling at the fans as the ref checked up on Austin.
Were Cena and Morrison good friends behind the scenes?
I like these types of clips, but to be fair I'm only two moves in (LA Knight.) and he didn't break character either time. both check ups on Logan were "disguised" in the way he took the bump
to be able to ask if he was good. great professionalism, but no character break.
The one that comes to my head is the Jericho and Neville match
👍 original host guy
Not one of these broke character. They literally hid their efforts to check on the opponent and stayed in character the entire time. This video is stupid and pointless
None of these are examples of breaking character. Mr. Kennedy running over to catch Hardy's botched whisper in the wind is more in tune with "breaking character." These are hardly any different than when wrestlers talk during a rest hold.
Jericho literally getting himself DQd after Nevelle Injured his ankle will always the the #1 save
it doesn't matter if they love eachother or hate eachother they save eachother every single time their in the ring. cause they r family
Baron Corbin was the go between for AJ Styles at Royal Rumble 2021, he checked on AJ Styles after Styles got hurt.
That #2 spot where Cena "checked" on Morisson, he didn't even try to catch him lol
Every like = push up
Like beggar
Raven asking Kane if he was okay in the 2001 Royal Rumble is one I recall from watching it back.
How about the time Scott Hall took a bad bump from Bam Bam Bigelow, and you could hear Bam Bam ask, "You alright, bro?" on air.
If you'll ever do a part 2 you can including Io Sky checking on Cora Jade during the NXT WarGames 2021 game where Cora popped out her shoulder after performing a swanton bomb through a table off the top of the cage.
Chris Jericho refused to do the Lion Tamer on the announcers table because he knew Triple H torn his quads. Triple H demanded he do the spot anyway.
I wouldn't necessarily call this breaking character. This is what they do. They also use signals to communicate like grabbing the other person's hand to let them know they're good. In all these spots if u didn't know what to look for then u wouldn't know.
Triple H's injury caused him to miss the entire Invasion storyline. I always wonder how different that story would have been if he was healthy
Its much more difficult to take care of opponents while not breaking character like how Jericho did with Jeff Hardy and Pac 😊❤
I saw Kofi Kingston and CM Punk check on Shelton Benjamin after his crazy ladder dive from the Money in the Bank match at WM 25.
How the elimination chamber changed over the years
The LA knight was something I was not expecting that
What about Triple H at Wrestlemania 27? After his match with The Undertaker, it was obvious that The Undetaker was injured. Triple H got out of the ring and when he noticed that The Undertaker was having difficulty moving went back to check on him. The camera's microphone clearly caught the referee telling Triple H to got back to the locker room so not to break character.
Logan Paul is poor in and out of the ring
Cap
@@Yessica.haircut yes this true
@@randyluna7695 all his matches were we’re good or better than good
@@Yessica.haircut Logan Paul matches is not good and Logan Paul is not a wrestler because Logan Paul is a garbage man and Logan Paul sucks
Nah pretty basic @@Yessica.haircut
There is a good one when Chyna was with kane against Hhh. She was shot in the face with a fire ball..Hhh ran back to her, ripped off his shirt to put on her face. He wasn't supposed to as he was supposed to be her enemy. Eventually kane pushed him out of the way and carried her out.
Ehhhh. Logan Paul will be alright. No need to be concerned about him.
As much as we all probably hated super cena, he was one of the safest to work with. Always looked put for the person he was in the ring with. Its funny as I was not a cena fan but as I've got older I apprecaiye what he brought to the company. Hate to say it. But he is missed.
Bubba: a Razor, your partner's hurt.
Razor: look i kick you I don't care
That's why I love pro wrestling coz I know everyone is working with each other and not fighting each other.
