Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think Altar of the Brood triggers on its own etb? It says whenever “another permanent” enters the battlefield. But I don’t think it mattered anyways
I looked back after seeing your comment and I agree there seemed no reason not to cast the Narset's Reversal under Isochron Scepter. Would've taken Nate off all the mana to rebuild or possibly win depending on what could've been in hand. Also would've had the added benefit of all the mana to cast His Opposition Agent he held the entire game which would've stopped Adam from casting his Trinket Mage and finding the last piece he needed to win the game. I might've also imprinted Notion Thief or Lim Dul's Vault instead of Muddle at the beginning to have 2 color options from Chrome Mox and having access to Oppo Agent in case I didn't draw land and my opponents played fetch lands. Would be interested to know what his thought process was for why he only imprinted blue mana under Chrome Mox.
I look forward to seeing Joseph’s signature Winconless Elsha deck reimagined. Since so much has been printed since yall stopped streaming, so there’s a whole bunch of new cards to try out!
The opening hand animation is much better during the deck intros. You don't need the card art up on the screen during the start of the game since it's difficult to see that anyway although I appreciate it could be left over from previous editing 😃. When you are demonstrating a game ending combo I much prefer an in-depth stack animation like you used to do. Keep up the awesome work
Wait a minute....my casual Lonis deck has Shrieking Drake, and Academy Manufactor, and Urza for value. Well, I guess it's officially a combo deck now. lol
I like the idea of a bunch of people playing decks they aren't as familiar with. Also, Joseph, my guy, my captain, my man; Lonis is a "Crypt-O-Zoologist" there is an O in there like Crypto currency, but less annoying.
You have re-sparked my interest in cEDH. Looking at some of the decks though I have to ask do you guys proxy? It is one thing to get a cEDH deck but I feel a different thing to be able to throw so many decks together. I get a lot of staples helps but still.
Anyone who doesn't proxy cEDH decks is at least a little nuts (though that's not a bad thing). cEDH is one of the most proxy friendly formats out there.
@@NordicRest I figured as much. But I do know sometimes stores or other places one plays do complain about it unless your proxy look good enough they don't really check.
Didn't Jordan have a nexus of fate in his deck in the first game? If so, he shouldn't have been milled out by the combo because nexus would go to his deck
Jordan should have imprinted either notion thief or lim dul vault under the mox. It would have allowed him to attempt to flash oppo agent in response to a fetch, solving his mana issue; plus it would have mean he'd have two colors from start. Impriting muddle with no blue card aside from Temp mastery in hand was not a great idea. Also, if going that route, at least imprint the 7 mana spell you won't cast anyway.
dont bring up mistakes, I lost multiple games because I could not count to 5, multiple Things like: this mechtitan needs 4 artifact creatures to activate + itself, ok, so 5 total, I only have 4 artifact creatures, so I wont.
Nate B couldn't draw from Tymna because of Notion Thief and Altar of The Brood doesn't trigger from itself.

it doesn't, but there's the option of not flickering alter so it sees the other nonland permanents enter each time

Why didn't Jordan Reversal the culling ritual? Keeping the Kodama player off of that much mana seems like a good play, or am I missing something?

My rule of thumb: if your opening hand needs to topdeck lands to exist in the game, dump it. Don't tempt fate.
