I feel like Ab is slept on for his bars when it comes to the average listeners. Not only is his wordplay crazy - every word has a purpose. No fillers. No duds. Just pure substance and deserves more recognition for that, alone.
Hes not slept on, people just need to get off catchy beats and start listening to the actual lyrics and messages these artists are trying to portray.

Bro am I the only who thinks that Soulo is better than kendrick when it comes to lyricism? I mean Kung Fu Kenny is great and all but Soulo is just that much better of a rapper than him. Kendrick is a better artist but Soul is a better rapper

Although that further supports @ZimMill as i haven’t heard him on the radio since bohemian grove. Although in modern times it’s less radio play as NBA YB ain’t on the radio and he’s as mainstream as they come if sales are the biggest factor.

Do better came as I lost my moms. It was a spiritual presence for me tbh. She was only 47 and was my whole world after losing my fiancé at 20. Thank you for giving me a sense of clarity on my emotions. I feel so lost and now I’m trying to get back to my creative mind painting. The music is lulling my insecurities to where they should be! He made my mind go to a place of comfort ❤

ab-soul is so underrated! I'm glad he's finally getting some shine and TDE is pushing his music more. Control system you can literally play all the way through no skips.
Been a fan of Ab Soul since Long Term 1 still bump Top Dawg Underdawg. You really have to be an avid listener of Soul to really understand how great of a lyricist he is.

The video was so vivid and surreal that it hits you in such a deep way most vulnerable or emotional music can't, he really maximised on the visual element for that single. It confronts those feelings brining them to life for the viewer
