another random question, prompted by the "flying makes you thirsty" comment... since you aren't wearing masks, do you keep flights to 10,000 ft or less? I was just thinking about my backseat flights in TA-4's wearing the oxygen mask.
@@JetJerod Is the oxygen system functional and you could go higher wearing masks to be on tje safe side? Or are there too many regulations preventing this?
@@jr0815_aka_gulredrel o2 is functional, still has the LOX system. We could service it and use it but no real reason to go much higher since we aren’t going anywhere, we tend to just stay at or below 17,500 VFR, cabin pressure is enough at that low of an altitude to not “need” masks. Sometimes it makes sense to wear them but this was such a short flight.
The later models of the Super Sabre like the F model we have has aerodynamic improvements to further mitigate instability. Just gotta stay within the safe flight parameters.
Great video thank you 👍🏻
@@ji88o thanks for watching!
Really nice video!!! So immersive!! I hope to fly a jet one day, maybe on the migflug.... i would be a dream coming true!
@@erickhian thanks so much!
Is there such a thing as "IFR in the cockpit"? 😀 That's a significant amount of condensation at low altitudes!
Avoid the saber dance on landing. You might talk a little about that. I hear you have to come in FAST when landing the F-100 to avoid that.
Is it at all feasible to get an F-105 flying in this age? The Super Sabre is an absolute beauty. Will you be doing any high speed passes?
@@Heliosphan33 they tried very hard to do that, they were not allowed. So I doubt it will ever happen, sadly.
need this in DCS world
I need DCS world, period.
Does it still have the oxygen/lox system intact/usable? Thanks for the vid.
It uses Lox, and is functional.
Let's go!
@@brainyhead1 enjoy!
Never been this early
@@superskullmaster hope this video helps answer some of the questions! Didn’t want to voiceover and ruin the jet noise
@@JetJerod appreciate it, former USAF AGE guy and I have to say that -60 Huffer takes way too long to start., it needs adjustments.
Is that an RNZAF sticker on the right side of your helmet?
@@markjefferies2005 yep!

Lucky no sabre dance
@@tedheath9018 thank goodness the “Sabre Dance” has nothing to do with luck! Just can’t get too slow close to the ground.

Flyin the Hun, doesn't get better than that. Next stop, Hanoi...
