- When our pregnant with twins choir member, Jessica Nordhal, not-so-subtly leveraged her due date (and inevitable break from our weekly singing sessions) as a reason for singing Yaz's Only You, we decided it best to do whatever she wanted. Enjoy her "solo" that ends the song.

Glorious! So lovely hearing a group of today's youth singing a song that we all danced back in 1982. Great arrangements, terrific energy, just heartwarming!
i got goose bumps - listen to this 10 times is a row... WELL DONE!!
this refuses to get old
Fantastic bond with the choir to produce this and everyone enjoying the singing, sat here with goose bumps too. Well Done.
Thank you for the joy you bring, not only to your members, but the rest of us.
i could listen to this forever
This is so frik'n awesome!!! My sister introduced me to them back in the 80's. I still have the cassette. :) This is a treasure you all did!!! It could have been done any more perfect! I love the guitar! I want to buy this to play in my car!!!
This is one of the most joyful things I've heard. Thanks so much for uploading these!
This is fantastic. One of my favorites of yours. Keep it up!
Loved this! Fast tempo, clear, and bright! One of my faves - even with the chatterboxes. Same boved song, but you made it your own! It was FUN!
I'm enjoying the background. To me it gives that spontaneous feel.
+Choir! Choir! Choir! I think a new version would be nice! The bigger choir would sound even more fantastic!
Would also be lovely at the slower tempo that both Yaz and Flying Pickets took. Love this song and Choir! Choir! Choir! bunches, but... C!C!C! has learned and grown. Would be amazing to hear/see this song with seven plus years more experience applied to it.

The faster tempo is what I enjoyed about it! All the songs have started to sound the same.
I’m honestly not sure this could be improved upon...
Amazing all of you so many good happy vibes from listening
this would be an amazing hymn to sing at church :)
This is simply great. A mood changer
this made me so happy! lovely voices
Uplifting! And it’s 2022! Aaaaamazinnnnnnggg!
Lyrics~
Looking from a window above
It's like a story of love
Can you hear me?
Came back only yesterday
I'm moving farther away
Want you near me
[Chorus]
All I needed was the love you gave
All I needed for another day
And all I ever knew
Only you
[Verse 2]
Sometimes when I think of her name
When it's only a game
And I need you
Listen to the words that you say
It's getting harder to stay
When I see you
[Chorus]
All I needed was the love you gave
All I needed for another day
And all I ever knew
Only you
Only you, only you
Only you, only you
[Bridge]
This is gonna take a long time
And I wonder what's mine
Can't take no more
Wonder if you'll understand
It's just the touch of your hand
Behind a closed door
[Chorus]
And all I needed was the love you gave
All I needed for another day
And all I ever knew
Only you
All I needed was the love you gave
All I needed for another day
And all I ever knew
Only you
Only you
This makes me so happy
this makes me so happy!!

I'm singing this for charity and my singing teacher taught the song with this version!really good!😁
Hi, which version is it?
Wonderful
lovely. well done
amazing
i will still go with Alison & Vince
Did you see Alison and Vince there? Didn't your mother teach you "if you can't say something nice..." Not EVERYTHING on the internet requires a comment from you.
@@kristieroybal4888 Thankfully though, i have the ability to comment on anything i feel like commenting on. how is what i said not nice? 5.9 million views versus 114k views, it looks like 5.7+ million agree
looks soo fun damn hahahah everyone is soo into it
Lovely.
I would buy this CD
I'm serious. Like, tears, now.
The Flying Pickets put to shame. =)
ANOTHER DAYYYYYY
Sehr schön interpretiert 😊
Amazing Choir with an amazing song! Is it possible to get the music sheet of exactly this version?
Where can I find this arrangement?
Did you find it?
... oh yeah!
Cool!
To better understand if the viewers enjoy what is presented to them, look at the video's histogram. If αn equal distribution is present throughout the song (or else), then happy news! you nailed it! 😀
And again!THIS IS SOOOOOOO AMAZING!
wow
Only you.fkin classic.
👏👏👏👏👏👏
Who's cutting onions?
💖💖💖💖💖
clap clap :-)
Blinding cover.
WICKED!!!!!!
Can you tell us who did the arrangement and, more to the point, where I can get a copy?
Did you find the arrangement?
Awesome ❤
Did you get your booster yet?
CAN YOU HEAR MEEEE
please ... sing Maluco Beleza... Raul Seixas...hope u read.
They were known as Yaz in the US and Canada not Yazoo because of copyright issues.
Reminds me of The End of Evangelion.
I’m sad I gave this vid a thumbs down 👎, I love Choir x3 and have enjoyed virtually every YT I have seen by this amazing fluid choir, however IMHO, this song is a lot less effective sped up as a happy peppy song, (but that would be the directors choice), so thumbs up 👍 for the choir and 👎 for the CD. I only say this because Yaz and Ms. Moyet wrote, perhaps, the best ever melancholy song.
Sometimes reimagining a song may not always be the best choice. Please leave a like if you agree.
I would loooooove to hear a Choir, Choir, Choir rendition in Alison Moyet’s style, I bet you would touch your viewers hearts and bring tears to their eyes. 😢
I totally disagree with your take on this rendition. Yes, Alison Moyet has a lovely haunting voice that cuts to the bone at a slower pace. You can tell how good of a song this is because it's good as a happy, bouncy song. It doesn't negate Yazoo's version or mean that it's better as a bouncy , upbeat song than a slower, melancholy song. Just a different rendition. You can still love the original more.
I only gave the thumbs down, because you believe having a different opinion means you have to invalidate the other opinion.
@@user-wy5kv7em6h not at all just stating my opinion.
@@francisbtube, which everyone is entitled to. So why the thumbs down?
You don't have to give it a thumbs up.

Wow, this is still excellent. I know some have complained about the faster tempo, but I think it works for this specific version, just like the slower tempo is the ONLY way that the original version could be recorded. However, to say that I DESPISE the people chattering in the background? Doesn't come close. I mean, SHUT UP. For five minutes, take your ego and your hot air and check both at the door. Sheesh, what a bunch of douchbags. I still enjoy, but they absolutely take away from it, sadly.
"Flunk" is the only cover that does this song emotional justice.... All members of the choir please listen to it.
Nice rendition, looked like great fun.
Although I do have to point out, It was originally by Yazoo, not Yaz and the Plastic Population, as stated in the title.
Prefer the original to the Flying Pickets cover.
They gave Yazoo credit (even though they're the same band, just known as Yaz in North America, which is the continent shared by the U.S and Canada, yes? So what's the problem?
What the hell is that guy in front of them doing. Amazing otherwise xo
Very good - but the original from Alison Moyet & Vince Clarke is much better.
Love the group but too fast and just can’t make Alison Moyet better
Quitcher bitchin'. It was TERRIFIC.
Doesn't sound right with a happy cheery tone. The sombre reflective tones of Alison Moyet seem more appropriate. Do they not pay attention to the lyrics?
Way too fast
too fast
I can understand putting your own spin on the song but the tempo is way too fast.
no offence meant but what the hell are you talking about - the new tempo is exactly what distninguishes it from the original and it sound brilliant
I thought that at first.. But it actually works speeded up, becomes a very positive song remindes me of another song can't think what it is
@@patrickkelly6590, agreed. It's a different interpretation of the song. It doesn't replace the original. People are acting like it's desecrating and trying to replace the original. Lighten up folks, it's a chorus.
No guitar needed...
Bit awkward
No. No. No. No.
Not good ..sorry
Too fast, misses the feeling of it. Good concept. Leave out the guitar
Better than original
That's awesome! Love it!
Love it!
