Floof as adorable as ever . People DO play a huge part in how our fur babies behave and floof shows it, even with ears that can be uncomfortable for her she is confident with you touching them.
Poor Floof. Do get well soon. Hope that them anti-allergy vaccines work. And I do hope we have them here too in the Philippines... ours appears to have developed chicken allergy.
Such a soppy floof, though I think she was saying 'stop that with the ears, just pet me'! Talking about dangerous dogs, I have known some downright soppy, friendly, gentle pibulls, (not in the UK, banned here) it depends on the owners and the training.
Dogs with long hair and ears that are down tend to have more problems with ears partly because there is no air getting to the inside of the ear. The constant moistness in there can promote bacteria and fungus growth. Keep that hair trimmed short in front, 😢under and around the inside of the ear so that at least some air will get to the inside of the ear. Many purebreds (and designer dogs) have a weaker autoimmune response so they tend to have allergy problems more than other dogs. Many times breeders are not taking into account how much their breeding practices can effect the overall health of the offspring. It certainly is not the dog’s fault. They are innocent victims. One of our dogs is on Apoquel due to seasonal allergies. Every summer her skin reacts to heat and humidity. As she gets older the problem tends to get worse. We only give her the medication in the evening so that she will sleep better at night time. She does sleep with us and we appreciate her not itching through the night. She is also on a very good quality freeze dried raw dot food which seems to have helped more than anything else. Getting them off commercial kibble was one of the best things that we have done for our pups.
It’s crazy what we spend on our pets. I spend a fortune on ours I groom her myself now since lockdown just bought high end grooming tools, saves me about £50 a month .
Flood is just good natured like her family what one puts into care and attention flood returns dogs are more intelligent than some dog owners realise they tend to have built in alarms they no when it is walkies and no when a .ember of the family is due home that is my own experience of my Labradors
You are absolutely right about the type of dog. I love all dogs but I've kept Irish Wolfhounds, Newfoundlands and now we have an older standard poodle which we bred with our labrador to produce a small litte of amazing doodles. We kept one of the boys and he is a true pleasure to have in our family. His older brother came to visit us from the Isle of Skye last summer and the worst we can say about them is they are quite big, heavy and bouncy! I'm not anti any dog but I have a now adult son with autism and significant communication difficulties. It is reassuring for me that he can spend time with our dogs and we are never fearful that they could turn on him. They are also good company for him. And, to be quite fair, it's not always the "status" dogs. We had a border collie which we couldn't trust so had to make sure our son (and strangers!) were always supervised when the BC was around. Floof is lovely btw :)
About Floof's ears, have you tried applying a slight coat of olive oil to treat the exterior? It seems to work with most things skin related? But do check first. X:)

I get the stare treatment at walk and meal times 😂😂 I have 2 cockapoos (aged 9 & 10) and they have a great temperament ❤❤
