Hard to run a non-carb engine without any fuel injectors! Also, does anyone MAKE aftermarket schoolbus parts!? I get that it's a fairly common Ford powerstroke diesel engine, but what about the suspension, transmission, and interior?
After watching the previous 2 vid's, i've come to realize that Gingium is a pretty rad dude. I'd heard about him before, but never watched his vids. *thumbs up*
Austin's Garage hey man you know what they say. Different strokes for different folks. Everyone's got their soft spot for something stupid. For example I love station wagons, especially boring ones, I think old volvos are cool as shit.
The concept of school bus was foreign to me until I came stateside. Now they are everywhere. And I support the idea of taking an old school bus and transforming it into a camper. That is one of the most awesome things ever.
Honestly was smiling this whole video. Something worked well with these Gingium vids, not saying it's him, but something clicked and seemed fresh, worth watching. I'll admit to getting a little fatigued with the traditional reviews, being here since about 20k, but it's awesome to seemingly see you hit a new stride. Keep it up man
Im so glad he made the trip to you and you took the time to do his new build as well as the rallymiata ... Huge praise to you for extracting information out of his weird quietness lol
Just my two cents, having a Powerstroke, that thing needs some Swamps Diesel Stage 2 injectors and a chip programmed by Swamps. That was the best $1800 I could have put into mine. It gave the thing SOOOO much more power.
I used to live an hour from glacier, the road to the sun was incredible.. cliff diving into Crystal clear water near lake McDonald was incredible. I love glacier so much..
I've always wanted to build a 17' U Haul truck (like a Ford E-450) and turn that into an adventure vehicle/Tow rig. Problem is I need to find one with 10,000lb towing capacity and one that's in good condition for cheap
These reviews were neat, I enjoyed the face to face interaction with Gingium, his girl, and your girl. I hope your reviews get a little more owner involved like you mentioned in one of your previous vlogs! Great 2 part review.
One of my favorite reviews, kind of felt like when you were just starting out on cars and didn't really know what you were doing but it was still awesome and funny at the same time. Almost makes me want to do something like this in the future to haul my bikes around with me when I go pretty much anywhere outside my own little area. Great video as always David, and can't wait for the next one. #SPOOLBUS for the win!!
It's road to the sun. We went on a trip across North America when I was a kid and that was one of my favorite parts. There were signs everywhere saying not to touch the glacier so I went and stood on it 😂😂
In my last year of highschool, I was still riding the bus because I didn't (and still don't) have my own car. The driver was constantly complaining about how gutless it was, and for good reason: it needed to be floored to simply get it up to highway speed in a safe amount of time, or even climb a hill. Thing even sounded weaker than a normal bus. She arrives one day with a temporary replacement with MUCH more power and confessed what went wrong: The last time it was inspected, nobody bothered to do a compression test or check anything about the engine. Turns out it was only running on 2 cylinders!
It's just crazy that in the states you can drive a vehicle with a trailer like this without any proper driver education first. I'm so glad that a scenario like that is unthinkable here.
Don't let this distract you from the fact that Hector is going to be running three Honda Civics with Spoon engines. And on top of that, he just went into Harry's and he ordered three T66 turbos with NOS... and a Motec system exhaust.
Diesels are required to pass emissions, too. That’s why the 6.0L has an EGR and catalytic converter. It’s also why new trucks, including semi trucks, dont soot, or roll coal, like older trucks do.
David, I hate to nitpick but you're thinking of the older Econo-line series of Ford (E-450,550, etc.) You continue to reference Ford's 'Transit' line in this video; the Transit is their most modern line-up of work/business oriented vehicles. The interior of the newer Transit is completely different than this bus's E-Series interior layout, thankfully. Thanks for reading!
Id get a long bus then make the whole back area a workshop for cars, actually if I could bring the car into the back of the bus with ramps that would be awesome. Then the other half for living and stuff
That's a cool idea, a buss though is not the best idea for it though. They are pretty high off the ground, and not designed for that kind of load, a lot of suspension work would be needed. Also longer buses have a long overhang, so the car would essentially have to be parked in the middle to be over the rear axle. A trailer can be intimidating at first, but they really are easy to learn, and the way to go for sub CDL (less than 26,000lbs) rigs. What you could do is get a mid sized buss, convert it into living quarters, and then leave the last 5 or 10 feet for tool storage and build an folding ramp/stairs to come out of the back door and onto your car trailer.
Going to the sun?? In glacier national park, dude I live in the small town called Browning on the Blackfeet reservation on the boarder of the park and Canada
This was way more fun than I expected. Thanks for watching!
ThatDudeinBlue thanks for making
ThatDudeinBlue yes very fun
ThatDudeinBlue I like how for the whole video you was calling the E-Series bus a Transit.
Guess you could say... He rides the short bus.
ThatDudeinBlue david where'd u get that hoodie! That thing is sick
Yeaaaa! Adventure bus! Awesome video again David!
Gingium you guys should paint it like the magic bus from into the wild
What engine
Chuck McCracken 6.0
I think
ThatDudeiumDrivingTheBusium, for the cringium memes.
Needs big single and an upgraded pump and injectors ..then it will be a spoolbus
mattybeatzkidd That is haggards thing.
MooresCreek Mafia yeah but this makes more sense because its an actually a school bus cmon man lol
I'm pretty sure diesels don't have injectors
or mabye I'm thinking about spark plugs...
yeah probably spark plugs
Alberto 9324 lol no spark plugs definitely injectors
Hard to run a non-carb engine without any fuel injectors!
Also, does anyone MAKE aftermarket schoolbus parts!? I get that it's a fairly common Ford powerstroke diesel engine, but what about the suspension, transmission, and interior?
ThatDudeinYellow
+TrainerRubyCheah well played good sir.
ThatDudeinBlue Couldn't help myself
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
TrainerRubyCheah ThatFellowInYellow
Alberto 9324 Damn it I didn't think about that lol
After watching the previous 2 vid's, i've come to realize that Gingium is a pretty rad dude. I'd heard about him before, but never watched his vids. *thumbs up*
Brandon Enyeart should catch up on his builds
This is my next project. I've always wanted to do this. But after I finish my jeep, ramp truck, Yugo, second Yugo, airstream, and 1jz Lexus.
Austin's Garage so about 10 years
Not one but two yugos? Who hurt you man?
RICER GARAGE maybe like a year lol
Jacob Tuley I love my Yugos lol
Austin's Garage hey man you know what they say. Different strokes for different folks. Everyone's got their soft spot for something stupid. For example I love station wagons, especially boring ones, I think old volvos are cool as shit.
A turbo-adventure bus. I want one.
Triple turbo Cummins Bus
lambusado you’d likely have to do a engine swap since most busses are ford...
xCoreh my point was that I want one for myself
You mean... a spool bus?
John S AYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
The concept of school bus was foreign to me until I came stateside. Now they are everywhere. And I support the idea of taking an old school bus and transforming it into a camper. That is one of the most awesome things ever.
Double reviewium
Gingium fans where you at again!
It’s funny you post this because I’m actually looking at buying a RV.
JD JoyrideTV oh nice
Watch gingium's videos, might inspire you to make a bus into a cool ass rv
RICER GARAGE yeah I like the fact the RV already has a on board shitter in place. I rent a RV 3 weeks ago and now have the bug.
JD JoyrideTV yeah talking about that rv how was the shitter lol must of been good since you really want one now
JD JoyrideTV I love you
This review was honestly cool to see a really odd vehicle being reviewed.
+HIGHVOLTAGE 3834 weird stuff is my jam. I honestly loved filming this.
ThatDudeinBlue I have a Yugo, postal jeep, delmont 88, and others. And I'm in Atlanta!
Honestly was smiling this whole video. Something worked well with these Gingium vids, not saying it's him, but something clicked and seemed fresh, worth watching.

An accident in that is certain death, no seatbelts, nothing is bolted down, everyone is screwed.
Im so glad he made the trip to you and you took the time to do his new build as well as the rallymiata ...
Huge praise to you for extracting information out of his weird quietness lol

Fabium fans where are you at!!!!!

NickOn4Wheels I think Uhaul's only use gas engines, so keep that in mind.
We use the E450 chassis with the gas engine for our ambulances. They SUCK. Anything over 100,000 is basically a bag of hammers
He should tint the windows or put up blinds/curtains so people can't peek into the spool bus
These reviews were neat, I enjoyed the face to face interaction with Gingium, his girl, and your girl. I hope your reviews get a little more owner involved like you mentioned in one of your previous vlogs! Great 2 part review.
The spool bus is epic 👌 allways good to see TH-camrs join force's💪😎
AYYY GINGIUM CHICAGO REPRESENT!
MKE!

It was going to the sun road in glacier national park. I remember it from a road trip I took last summer. Beautiful place.
Going to the sun road!!! That road is on my bucket list. I'm going to make it happen.
Bangbus

Please go back to this and check on the progress of this. Really want to see where it looks like in the end.
Please please please do updates on this bus it is so cool you gotta do updates for us!!!!
It's road to the sun. We went on a trip across North America when I was a kid and that was one of my favorite parts. There were signs everywhere saying not to touch the glacier so I went and stood on it 😂😂
i have those same vans that they were wearing and you first see in the beginning of the video. awesome
David is wondering into the off grid life. awesome.
The Spool Bus, I like that.
That looks so comfortable and relaxing
So cool, always wanted to get a short bus and do something like this
i really enjoyed this review david and itd be cool to see more reviews of the weirder vehicles haha. like maybe try a Polaris slingshot?
Up next: School Bus One Take
THIS NEEDS TO HAPPEN!!!
taking the spoolbus through the canyons. :D
I love when my favorite YTers do colabs.
Ive always thoughts it would be so cool to take a full size school bus and turn it into a pick up, it would be awesome!!
Going to the sun road is insane to drive on
This is the ultimate project you can do
You need to get a hold of Gingium and do an update on this thing. He is almost if not done with the re-remodel.
Yes road to the sun awesome road but dont know if that bus would fit for height reasons through the tunnels
In my last year of highschool, I was still riding the bus because I didn't (and still don't) have my own car. I totally relate to the revving when starting. The pedals on the older powerstrokes are too damn close together!
you could take it up eagle pass in Colorado .... but yeah i know the road you're talking about.
ThatDudeInSchool
Here and stoked
Got that Silvia Hardtuned jacket 👍
Gingium has to name it *The*
spoolbus since HG already has the name.
the 6.0s in those buses are really reliable because they never had an egr on them from factory like the pickups did
Is this the bangbus? 🤔
It's so big, this must be so cool hang out in
He gotta tint hes back windows quick if he plans to sleep in it......
He has a blanket he uses to cover it I believe
Jack O'Race That isn't very effective
In his previous videos on it he said he’s probably gonna he curtains for now but will more than likely tint it later on.
Spoolin on down main Street
Relaxing hitting boost
Next that you know there's
*RODNOCK COMING FROM THE HOOD?*
Honestly one of my biggest dreams
This dude needs to follow those tiny home bus coversion dudes. This RV could be SICK
It needs a bigger turbo with a tune. it would haul ass
Going-to-the-Sun Road, if you go there stop in Bozeman haha
HAS EVERYONE SEEN THE VIDEO WHEN A BUS FULL OF KIDS ROLLS OVER.. ejecto window cuz...
Awesome, a White spoolbus (HG) and a Yelow spoolbus (Gingium)
Solar panels would be useful, but what about a second floor on the roof with a ladder going through the hatch?
CARDOG 97 too top heavy/tall
0:56 Gingium do that with the spool bus now for next video, please! Heel toe redline it when you start it next. It can't hurt it, can it?
I hope you saw it now, it’s awsome
It's just crazy that in the states you can drive a vehicle with a trailer like this without any proper driver education first. I'm so glad that a scenario like that is unthinkable here.

Wooah, wasn't expecting this video! Anyways, awesome video as always!
Fire starter in the background...

Loving these vids keep it up David
If I ever have the time and money for this, I’m definitely doing this.
Dangit you visited Chicago and I didn't know
Next vid: straight piping the adventure bus
gabe duchesneau that's haggard
Hood stack
He actually did it LMAO. Check Gingium's channel.
gabe duchesneau he did it 🤣

I have the same hoodie as David... except his is newer since he has the Brembo brand and I don't.
Alberto 9324 where did you get it? I really want one
best review so far
You should review the bus again once its done
I always wanted to do this with a group of friends
Those cookies look good!
haggard garage 7.3 van would be a cool review.
Cody Taylor The true spool bus
not much difference, same engine in both
TrottingFox But that's a van. This is an actual bus
Alebone Not in there minds, they had a bunch of car seats in it and drove it accrost country.
TrottingFox That doesn't make it a bus.
I've been waiting for this since I heard "He also reviewed the bus too"

Damn.. I want one, it's a shame that busses in Denmark aren't as wide tho..
The sun road!!
Do the lift kit and offroad wheels before u get the alignment
The road in glacier is called Going To The Sun road
Hey what happened to the video you uploaded talking about projects and updates?? Got the notification but said it was unavailable
David I want to know about the 2jz e46 and your future car build
Our family have had in total of 9 buses converted to rv's and we have two right now
I see Thatdudeinblueium drive Gingiums Schoolbusium, I press likeium
MoFBox aids
MoFBox W
How does one even procure a bus? Because that would be a kick ass camper.
Id get a long bus then make the whole back area a workshop for cars, actually if I could bring the car into the back of the bus with ramps that would be awesome. Then the other half for living and stuff

Rainbow Road is located in Mario Kart 64
Going to the sun?? In glacier national park, dude I live in the small town called Browning on the Blackfeet reservation on the boarder of the park and Canada
very cool, thanks for sharing David!
I just love the idea of someone thinking "biggest thing you've driven challenge accepted DAD GET YOUR BIG RIG"
You guys are the grown up cast of The Magic School School Bus IRL
