Why did you only go to chains like Nando's and Starbucks instead of trying the local cafe e.g. Lucy's and local Asian food which has much better reviews than Nando's?
Bonus post: i once walked from London to Slough along the canal. When I reached the slough basin, it wasn't as nice as other basins. Nearby I saw a girl getting chased and terrified by a friendly but aggressive looking dog. When I got to the basin, there was a rat eating a piece of dog shit. Then I went to whetherspoons.

Think the grey city of Aberdeen, (also known as the Granite City or Aberdoom as locals know it) beats that hands down.. everything is grey, damp, cold, empty and depressing. Once I asked a German tourist in Scotland how was his visit to Aberdeen, he answered, “grey city, grey sky, grey sea and grey people” lol 😂😂
I grew up in slough for a few years during my teenage years , funny story was my school was in slough and for my a level geography we had to analyse that poem you read so this video was quite nostalgic 😂 Slough is very boring indeed but there are some really good things such as the Slough ice arena (decently priced and high quality ice rink) and rock climbing/swimming in one place. Good location to London, Windsor and Heathrow airport as well as multiple Grammar Schools and superstores nearby (Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Asda). Aside from that, me and my friends always just head to Windsor or London for activities since the high street is a joke there is literally nothing to do and everything closed down. It’s just filled with takeaways and gambling and niche independent stores.

I truly think Nando's is one of, if not the most over-rated restaurant in the UK. The food is mid, at best, and is 100% not worth their prices. I think if it wasn't for all that “go for a cheeky Nando's” rubbish that was big a few years ago, it wouldn't be nearly as popular.
When you go to these places, you should try either local cafes or shops instead of chains and maybe link in your worst to best series of food.. just an idea
Yeah seen that building many a time from the M4 motorway. Not sure if it makes it a wonder of the local area though. Always thought it was an office building.
idk how you’ve not mentioned the icon of slough, David Brent, also please go to cornwall, i’m not from there but would be great to compare to the north haha ❤
Okay, so the Telegraph says this is Britain's ugliest town and - canal notwithstanding - it doesn't seem that bad; so perhaps we should assume they never went to Cumbernauld and that Slough is just the ugliest place that they dared send their reporters along to. Actually, they must have skimmed over most of South Wales when they were at it - and Weston-super-Mare, and a lot of other places, too.... I reckon its biggest problem is that there's absolutely no geographic feature to draw your eyes away, whatsoever - because the entire county resembles a flippin' billiard table!!
All the litter and garbage reminds me of a holiday i took to Corfu when we dody a day trip to Albania in 2000. Thr place was covered in garbage, including a really nice beach. But at this time Albania was very poor. It was shocking to see but understandable. Unfortunately, Britain now looks like that town in Albania. Maybe when places become poor then people just throw garbage everywhere. It certainly seems that way.
Wow Ed! Bloody good poem! Multitalented you are! As for Slough .....Mmm it's a bit depressing, mind you I've not been to Luton yet. I only really know Luton for its airport but if it's even worse than this place? I'll give it a swerve. Very entertaining as usual. Never been more delighted in so much you have got yourself a sponser! Why don't you treat yourself and go to a good place next time? I'd suggest Manchester but I'm a bit biased! Liverpool has some gorgeous architecture and it's very vibrant and friendly ☺️✌🇬🇧
I used to have an American boyfriend (a long time ago) and I told him that Slough was pronounced 'Sluff' and he believed me. Also, a fun fact for you - Ricky Gervais wrote a song about Slough, it's easy to find on TH-cam 😊
