    Then how did the sheep reproduce without a male? Both female sheeps were used

    • @animatedbiologywitharpan
      @animatedbiologywitharpan  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Scientists thought that the technology could be used to remove a nucleus from a mother's egg and replace it with the nucleus from another cell. This would mean that the egg would not need sperm because the nucleus would be replaced with the nucleus of a somatic cell. Remember that a somatic cell has all the genetic material it needs to live. A gamete has only half the amount of genetic material. Scientists thought that egg cells were the right type of cell because they were young and fresh. They were correct

      @@animatedbiologywitharpan why did they specifically choose udder cells? Why not any other somatic cell

    • @animatedbiologywitharpan
      @animatedbiologywitharpan  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The cell nucleus from an adult differentiated udder cell is transferred into an unfertilized oocyte (developing egg cell) that has had its cell nucleus removed. The hybrid cell is then stimulated to divide by an electric shock, and when it develops into a blastocyst . The shock is critical .when sperm enters the ova similar kind of phenomenon happens ( calcium wave ) . The spatio-temporal dynamics of calcium wave signals the embryonic development.

    • @animatedbiologywitharpan

      I think the mammary gland cell was diploid already, so it didn't require any other set of chromosome and as the nucleas of that cell was placed in egg cell, the further growth of sheep took place.

    all gmos and cloning should be outlawed, abandoned, and all of it burned down as well as all the labs and all held accountable. Also, make a return to natural traditional ways, relying on nature, and nature's God.
